After paying my father's insurance premium for six years faithfully Bankers Life is refusing to pay the policy. I'm my father's only beneficiary on the policy. I've paid out $100 per month auto pay. I knew they were going to give me the runaround early on when they made me send the death certificate twice. Now they're asking for a divorce decree. Nowhere on his policy does it say he's married, no one else has filed a claim, no one else is a beneficiary but me. Now I have to engage a lawyer to get them to even pay the damn fu... read more

The customer service has been terrible to work with concerning my 91 year old father's long term care claim. I submitted the claim in July and the required paper work. Each time I call there is something else they need and then they start the clock over for processing. This is the most uncaring bunch I have ever dealt with. I can't believe them when they say everything has been received and your claim is being processed. I have spoken with several managers and they are no better. They tell me the claim is being escalated and... read more

My parents paid into the long term care policy for decades. When they had elder care issues they received some of the benefits. But it lasted a very short time. They said that they could reinstate the policy if they didn't use it for 6 months. So we went off of it. But it turns out that it doesn't matter that we did not receive benefits from them. They can deny the claim based on the fact that my parents had the care that they cover in that time even though they didn't pay for it. So unless you plan to not really need any ca... read more

My parents paid heavily into their Banker’s Life Long Term Care for more than 20 yrs. Mom died after using her policy for about a year - receiving less than a third of her policies worth. Dad has been in a home since March 2018. He has been progressively declining over the past 18 months with dementia and 7 - yes 7!!!- systemic diseases killing him slowly, including diabetes, kidney failure, COPD, heart failure, high blood pressure. He’s lost the ability to stand and falls constantly because he forgets he can’t. He’s been on... read more

RUN, RUN, RUN! I wish I had read all these reviews prior to working with Mohsen ******** who apparently is the top broker of this location. Here is just one example: I was told the new policy would cost a "little bit" more than the old one and somehow must have pre-signed a document for auto withdrawal. I went from $250 to $675 without knowing the costs of the new policy and then was told "well your business pays for it what do you care?". Really? How about I am the business so its my money either way. How about instead of t... read more

If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would! This company is a complete joke. My mother has paid into a "long term care" policy for more than eight years. She suffered multiple falls & broken bones with subsequent recovery periods within a short span of time, while we, as caretakers were attempting to get her seen by doctors who could figure out the cause. As her POA I filed a nearly 30 page claim to cover just ONE month of her respite care since she had not recovered enough after one of her fractures to return to my ... read more

NO STARS!!!! I am a provider for a policy holder. We bill Banker's Life directly per the agreement they have with their policy holder. However, they never send us payments. Instead, we receive letters in the mail months later (to the address that the check was supposedly mailed to) stating that we have to fill out a document for "unclaimed funds" from a check that we never cashed! Then when I fill out the document, miraculously a week later, a check shows up. 10 months after the original check was supposedly mailed and to th... read more

Overwhelming with one star reviews. So far we have received 3 different agents call us in the last 3 days pushing their product which we don't want. The 2 five star reviews are only 5 star because they haven't had a need to call upon Bankers Life. Who knows, they may even work for B. L. .I agree they are getting on my nerves for their continuous persistence and I WANT IT TO STOP!

I don't understand how a business can have such a high BBB rating when they routinely make unsolicited cold calls to private cell phone numbers. A man named "Cam" called my private cell and proceeded to lie to me, saying that my husband had requested information from them online. My husband had never done that. "Cam" had a lot of personal information about me, except that he didn't have my married surname. He kept asking for more personal information about my family members, even asking for my husband's cell phone number. I ... read more
