I've called and cash in my inherited IRA. First the person who was familiar with the account told me incorrect information. I was told I would not be penalized if I used it to purchase a home and was a first time home buyer. That was wrong. Secondly, I'm waiting to get my money. Bankers Life contacted me by email and stated they had reviewed my profile and “my skills were something they thought they could use”. I contacted them and the rep made an appt for me for an interview on Dec. 28th@4pm. The rep requested that I come a few minutes earlier. I arrived as agreed and two other applicants were there. All three of us waited at least 20 minutes and company rep never showed. This displays poor business practices and poor representation of what business performance guidelines should state. I got a call from them saying they saw my resume online and wanted to know if I was interested in working as an insurance agent. I am a graphic designer. I told the person who answered and she told me I should keep my options open. Very disingenuous recruiting practices.
Purchased a Indexed ********* Life insurance policy a for death benefit and long time cash value accumulation. I've only had it a couple years but everything my agent said has been true and very satisfied with service.
Have been a customer of Bankers since 2013. Their agent who came to our house moved to Hawaii after two years. Never informed us. Never left us with a new agent to handle our claims. Hvae tried calling him 40 times leaving messages in both Virginia and Hawaii offices. He refuses to return calls. Really poor service and disgusting way to treat people. 0 Stars.
I've never had such a horrible experience with any business as I did with the Duluth, GA office. The agent Constance ********* told me blatant lies with how she was handling a claim. When I spoke with her supervisor he tactless enough to say I got the short end of the stick when it came to the payout of my mother's life insurance. Constance hung up on me in the middle of a phone conversation and refused to return any text or calls. Why is it that your customer service reps are uninformative? Plus I should be able to review my claim status online. I was told numerous times that my claim was in processing. After 21 days I found out that you still didn't receive death certificate. I went to local office to provide because the agent for the funeral home sent it by regular mail. Great company
My mother had *** insurance through Bankers Life & Casualty. She received many services at her Assisted Care (including med distribution, assistance toileting, assistance dressing, assistance bathing, assistance transfering) ,but BLC would not pay because it was not a "nursing home." My mother then moved into a hospice facility with 24 hour nursing care for the last 6 months of her life. But again, because it was not licensed as a traditional nursing home, they kept denying coverage. They would also keep asking for informati... read more
