I am very disappointed in Bankerss life long-term care insurance. At first I thought they were a very caring company and now I find that they are a very negligent company in handling data input to process claims. After over three months they are still unable to process my partys claim because they do not have documentation that was faxed to them weeks and weeks before. This company is a disgrace. My grandmother is 93 and can't even get the care she needs because they won't pay. She has to basically be incapacitated in all aspects of life. Her doctor even wrote she had two of the qualifying events, but because she is forgetful she acted like she was fine over the phone. The doctors information should over rule anything the patients states, especially if they are forgetful. NEVER get this policy for long-term/short-term/home health. It's a miracle I have stayed in the industry after my experience with Bankers. Not only were they shady, opposite of fiduciary, slimy salesmen, who sold any and everything to whoever they could no matter what, but we were selling policies to poor, uneducated people who didn't even have bank accounts. But wait it gets worse, on top of all of that, I was sexually harrassed daily, and when it went so far as to get physical, I had to report it to HR as to not feel responsible when it undoubtedly happened to the next girl. Do NOT invest in this insurance! My stepfather had a critical illness policy and died unexpectedly from a myocardial infarction. They would NOT honor the policy benefits due to small print about obtaining clinical tests. He was in the hospital for less than 20 minutes before he passed!!! This is dishonorable and places a HUGE financial strain on my widowed mother. Consider any other company before putting hard earned money into this business.

I tried to cancel a policy with this company and they charge a $955.00 cancelation policy which is more than what the policy is worth. I also called to stop automatic withdrawals on my account and even though they agreed to do this by phone, I received a letter saying otherwise. Instead of stopping the monthly withdraws, the letter said that I called to switch to quarterly withdrawals. I cant imagine what one would have to go to to even use such a policy in time of need. I had Bankers Life supplemental insurance for three years and each year there has been an increase. I was paying $298.64 plus prescription insurance. I found a more affordable supplement and called to cancel my Bankers Life effective 7/1/2021. I checked my bank account today 7/15/21 and found out Bankers Life took the money! I was NOT happy and called my insurance rep and the company to complain. They will be mailing a check for the amount within 15 business days. Shady people. Very pushy and they dont know what NOmeans. I called to cancel my policy and got the run around. The salesman insisted on seeing me to cancel. Shows up and continues to try to sale me more, after telling him I only want to cancel. After 10 minutes of saying no he pulled out a blank paper for me to sign to cancel. Not a legal document at all. After about 30 minutes of Continually saying no to him. I finally had to yell at him to leave my property. I have had the F plan for years. The F plan premium was going up, so I changed to the N plan. I wrote a check for 205.50 on 03/03/21 for the first installment. They took out 390.44 out of my checking account on June 1,2021. I had three agents in less then on year. I don't know what they did to my check for 205.50.
