We cancelled our wellness plan over a year ago and they will not stop charging our credit card - we've been charged over $1k and haven't been there since last year. The plan auto-renewed in May although they confirmed cancellation so we will be billed for 16 months for a plan we haven't used and cannot cancel. Do not sign up for their services it takes a whole month to even make an appointment because they never have any availability.
This dog clinic has no compassion for their customers. Back in May 2023, I came by their clinic to let them know that my dog will moving to another state. They didn't cancel the plan, they just didn't care, and they just want their customers to pay regardless even if there were no services rendered. Which by the way I paid $546.69 in full for a service fee that they provided one time in March and another service fee of $102.52 on April 2023, I have my receipts. They keep refusing to cancel my service, and keep attempting to say I somehow owe hundreds of dollars in fees if THEY DO cancel even though I've taken my dog in for a SINGLE check-up with no procedures done, she was going to have a dental cleaning but couldn't because of a heart condition, so NOW they keep scheduling dental cleanings for her without my permission. This place is a plague and a pox to anyone who loves their pets and seeks the highest quality care, avoid them at all costs.
Negative reviews if they were possible. When we signed up our three animals for the Banfield in spring, we were told multiple times that our monthly payments were only $70 by the brown-haired assistant with the brown *****. I checked this every time we went in. And somehow still managed to pay them $6,000 over the course of 4 months. I took my dog in for surgery on a Friday and had her returned to me without a prescription for pain!! When the lady called the next day to check on my dog I was informed that ************ didn't know that the original doctor who looked at my dog had given her medication in the past, which is ridiculous because if ************ is certified to do surgery she should be capable to know when to prescribe medication. Stay away from Banfield. I had the wellness plan and took my cat in for constipation. I had very detailed notes on what I was seeing with her health. She was constipated, throwing up, lethargic and not eating. The vet gave her a e**** on Sept 29, 2023 and on October 5, 2023 she passed away of kidney failure. She never fully recovered after that e**** and her health quickly declined. My question is why wasn't my notes taken seriously and why wasn't this caught on her routine exams? This place is a scam. I got a notification to update my card information in August 2023. I clicked the link and updated my information. I went on the Banfield app and updated my card information, and I also went to the office that I visit and updated my card information. I even got a notification from my bank that their one time payment or trial payment went through. I went in the office October 13, 2023 and was told that I owe $800 for past due payment. Had Banfield for several years. Then my dog developed cancer and that's when the service stopped. I literally had to bug them for several days to prescribe medication for palliative care for my dog. They say their advantage is that they have multiple locations nationwide; they don't transfer medical records correctly from location to location. Horrible customer compassion. I live 1 mile away and they threaten me by sending a Federal Express letter threatening to call the county authorities because they couldnt reach me. In fact I took my pet there twice, she was doing much better so they didnt ask us to come back. So why threaten us? I am seeking care elsewhere because of their abuse.
