AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.Bringing your pet to Banfield will prove to be a very frustrating, expensive mistake. They are one of the few veterinarian "hospitals" that offer pet parents a scheduled plan to ensure their pet gets all the shots and care they need. With alleged unlimited visits and reminders of when shots are due it seems like a great affordable way to enure your pet is all set. That is until you actually need them. I received an unexpected voicemail from Banfield Pet in **************, **, claiming that I owe them $118.24. I have never taken my pet to their facility nor signed up for their services. Despite this, I received a threatening call stating that my account would be sent to a collections agency if I did not pay by 5 pm. I will never ever ever in my life use this disgusting company . My animals passed away after 11 years of service with you guys. I end up in collections bc of a contract??? My Fin animals died for God sake. Just when I think a company couldnt get any worse than ******* here comes Banfield, hold my beer!What kind of business practice is this? This business has been charging with a call repurposing fees, as if a person is writing a check. And the most interesting thing is that they claimed that there were no funds when they were funds available. I was told that a recent visit that my account was going to be reduced to $45 from 54 because I had a dental plan and this month I was charged $64 and told it was because it was a repurposing fee. *** tried multiple times to have that corrected and cancel this account and there is no way to contact anyone. Banfield Pet Hospital is a scam. They told me I could cancel anytime but failed to inform me that if I chose to cancel I would owe an absurd amount of money. They claim that their services outside of their plans are 6 times higher than any vet charges in my area. They give your dog a full medical work up at the beginning of the plan. You have no choice in this exam. If you attempt to cancel after that you will be charged over $700 for services that are standardly no more than $150. I live am hour from here its the only place that was doing spays close enough, my dog is about 6 months pit mix, 60lbs. My SO drove her there and when je got there they turned her away for being over 30 pounds, they said they called when they went to confirm the appointment. Never got a call. But why would they waste my time and thiers by making the appointment knowing she was over 30lbs.

The worst animal care ever, They treat your animal like you're going through a drive through food line. They do not educate you on the wellness of your animal. Never recommend anyone to trust this vet..

This chain of pet hospitals, along with their pet insurance, is a scam. Appointments for your pet are schedule out to around a month and they will cancel on you the day before. They will then automatically schedule you on days you never agreed to to "make accommodations". My dog has not been seen for more than a year despite having insurance due to these dishonest tactics.

It is 100% an absolute scam!! They tell you when you start your "wellness" plan that you are paying a certain amount per month and getting all of these services included in the plan when in fact you aren't getting any sort of discount. You are just not paying everything upfront. They tally up everything your pet has ever got/needed and charge you a little bit upfront and then keep your total amount for when you try to cancel your plan.
