Never notified me of renewal of my wellness plan snd then when trying to cancel they want 500 dollars for my dog. Totally unreasonable and would like them to go out of business immediately, they are a horrible company. When took my dog in for a physical they didnt even touch my dog. Please dont take your loving dog to Banfield ever. Bad service and outlandish costs!

The care I received from Banfield was downright harmful to my dog Moose. I will never have this hospital care for my dog again. A treatment they provided resulted in a partially ruptured ear drum, which resulted in me going to another vet to diagnose. The clinic manager says all the right words about caring for my situation but A. won't refund my money for the visit and B. cannot help cancel my wellness plan. The whole business model is a scam. This place is a huge scam! We took our puppy there who kept coughing and was very lethargic. I asked the vet if it could have been allergies since we went for a long walk on a hay field the day before. She told absolutely cannot be just allergies and she wanted to run a bunch of test! So we did! Once all the test came back negative and $900 later she told me it was probably just allergies! They should be shut down for all the people the scam! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

Most Veterinarians I've known over the years truly love animals. At Banfield, it's about money. They sell their "Wellness Plan" ($~800/yr for our dog), but it is a ruse and a scam. Besides yearly visits, if you need a quick appointment, you will have to call multiple locations and even then, it may be days to weeks to get in. Covered? Well, pretty much nothing is covered. Words cannot express how upset I am with the process of canceling the Optimum Wellness Plan. Our beloved husky, ******, unfortunately had to be put to sleep on May 31st, 2023. I pay a charge of $58.15 on the 12th each month. I spoke with a representative regarding the cancellation of this specific plan since she is no longer with us. Avoid their wellness plan at all costs, it's not a benefit to you. You only spread payments out over a year. Then they auto-renew you every year, and NEVER refund any amount you DO NOT use. Not to mention raising costs for the plan EVERY YEAR! Started out around $25.95/month and now paying $45.95 for a small cat. That's poor business practices and shows me who they really care about.

I received exceptional assistance from **********, a nurse at the **************** Banfield vetenarian hospital. ********** is very professional, personable, eager to assist, extremely knowledgeable and all around a great communicator. I agree with the negative reviews of Banfield Pet Hospital. Two weeks ago I took my cat to the pet hospital at ******** and ****** because he was having issues with his mouth. When I took him, the staff kept trying to get me to sign up for a yearly wellness plan. I just wanted the @%#! cat's mouth examined! During the visit, they did bloodwork and an overall physical exam, but they did not examine the cat's mouth in detail. For two years, I have tried to communicate with the front desk and vets tech but it is always a challenge. I get one story over the phone and a different one when I get there. I will admit that I put up with this too long and got too frustrated. I had one dog signed up for a year wellness plan which included teeth cleaning and heartworm medication. For some strange reason they had me signed up for a year of the plan but only 6 months of Heartworm medication.. That does not make sense. They did this last year too but promised... read more
