I wish I could give no stars! Could not access the Optimum Wellness Plan online. Had previously requested to not "auto-renew" the plan. Well, lo and behold, I recieved a notice from a debt collector (for the entire plan's year - not prorated from Nov-March). Never had such before and paid it. Called Banfield and "********" said that they emailed 2x (that email had been hacked and no longer in use) and called 2x but did NOT leave any message between November - March. I have been taking my cat Sapphire, to Banfield Pet Hospital located at ************************************************ for the last 7 years. Sapphire began sneezing excessively in August of 2022. After numerous visits to pet doctors at Banfield, a lab test, tablets and injections (all of which I paid hundreds of dollars for outside of her wellness plan), 7 months later, with no improvement to her condition, I was compelled to take her to another cat specialist who cured her in one visit. I HATE Banfield! There wellness plan is a scam. Their policies are dumb & pricing is ridiculous. Why pay a monthly plan & still be overcharged for everything you take your dog in for. One of my dogs died & they wont let me cancel his plan without a $250 cancellation fee. Stay away!Only thing good Ill say, is the people on-site are usually very friendly & professional. Dont sign up, wouldnt recommend. Find you a good local vet.

Our pet DIED at almost age 12. We have been paying yearly for almost 12 years. This is FRAUD. When a pet DIES it should be legal to CANCEL A WELLNESS POLICY.

I have had all of my pet on your plans for nearly twenty years. Recently moved from **************. The customer service of the ********************** on 22nd Ave was beyond unacceptable. Mykala the front desk girl was rude and basically told me she had other people to take care of when I called. Banfield insurance is a scam do not purchase. If your dog passes away you will continue to pay, it barely gives you deals, you have to wait to see vets so use emergency outside vet services anyway. And! They are so unethical, if your auto renewal is on the 19th for example and your membership is up on the 25th they will charge the entire month.

I have been a customer since moving to ************, based upon my daughter's recommendations from her experience at other locations. I took my dog in to see a vet about a swollen ear, and was told she had a hematoma that needed to be lanced and drained. The vet gave me a recommendation for a very specific ear wrap for post surgery, scheduled for a few days later. This location tramautized our dog durimg boarding for a previous appt somehow and now he needs to be drugged and get personal appointments. Our last 2 appts have been rescheduled by banfield. First due to drugs deciding to be required, second for their staff being able to check us in on time and doc saying we were 10 min late...due to locked front petsmart doors and checkin? Also she was 30 min late in first appt....so what the heck. We are now on a 3rd rescheduling and are out over $300 in lost wages and meds due to having ... read more
