This place should not have an A+! They sent my dog home to die (3rd animal they did this to) saying he had laryngitis when he had a serious case of pneumonia and an enlarged heart. The doctor spent 10 minutes with him and **********the whole time. Consumers pay at least $60/month for this service; they claim to provide comprehensive exams that always result in “your dog is great” just to have them drop dead 2 days later. A one-star is too much, they deserve a zero. The administrative staff and management are a joke. We have two dogs and two cats and with every visit, we have to give them our phone number. It's always incorrect. We just took our two dogs into the Kennesaw location...specifically to get their heartworm test so we could have the prescription before we moved out of state. About a month ago, my dog got spayed at Banfield Vet Hospital. The veterinarian who performed the surgery made a mistake during her surgery which resulted in some larger complications which may impact her for the rest of her life. They have refused to take responsibility for the cost of her spay and even told me that the surgical mistake happened because I waited too long to spay her. Would like to let you know how dreadful, unprofessional, unconsidered, rude, caring not was the vet to my pet and my family on 4/9/19 2pm appointment when we brought gravely ill cat named Niky. He was to be put to sleep and upon making appointment answered all questions and NOBODY asked if he has recently had rabies shot. I have never been more dissatisfied with a vet in my entire life. I was told upon using Banfield that they were nationwide, and I would not need to set up another appointment to get my dogs prescription refilled when it expired in 6 months, even if we went to another Banfield they would have his records and I would not have to repay the heart-worm test fee plus the vet exam. We move very often and I expressed clearly that was the reason I chose to use Banfield was this "fact" that I was told. Fast forward to six months later... read more

Please, for the love of God, so NOT take your dog to Banfield animal hospital in Vernon Hills (inside the PetSmart). My boyfriend, **** and I have had our sweet 8 week old Goldendoodle, ***** for 3 days. We took her to Banfield for an initial checkup. We brought in a fresh stool sample, and the receptionist took it right away for testing. Dr S****** brought us back, took her temperature and gave her an exam. I wanted to take a moment to thank the personnel of Banfield Pet Hospital inside of Petsmart in Pembroke Pines. They made the very difficult process of having to put down our beloved dog Lady a smooth one. I felt peace while we were there because the Doctors took such good care of Lady and of us. They took the time to explain everything they were going to do and everything our dog would feel. I have been taking my 9 year old female pitmix to Banfield since she was 4 months old. I can say that over the years, she went from fearing the vet to loving everyone there. I never have any doubts about the care she receives there. There have actually been 2 exceptional experiences that I have had there where the vets didn't charge me a penny when that I know other vets would have easily charged me hundreds just to consult.
