I took my 12 year old Chihuahua mix in for a dental consult. The Vet barely looked in her mouth and said, " well, she has movement". He recommended a Vet Dentist in Bonita Springs Florida. I decided to get a second opinion. I went to a humane society Vet. She found hair wrapped around the two canines on the left at the gum line. The dog chews her feet. I paid $50 for a dental exam at Banfield and he didn't even see this! I'm taking all my pets out of Banfield. I'm so disappointed and flabbergasted this was missed! My dog is ... read more

BEWARE, take your pet somewhere else, anywhere else. I was tricked into purchasing the Optimum Wellness Plan for a procedure I was told my pet needed. I should have done my research. Signed up for the Plan and was set to schedule the procedure for after the holidays, as they said it could wait a month. After the holidays I never received a call to schedule the procedure and the issue that we needed the procedure for healed on its own. So we never really needed the procedure to begin with. Ever since I have been trying to can... read more

I brought my dog in on Friday 9/28 for ******worth of xrays, the vet said she would send then to the radiologist for review and call me today, i have left her 3 messages to call me. I've already waited all weekend to find out if my dog has cancer and now I'm waiting even longer. How inconsiderate and heartless.

Business response:

Ms. ******; Thank you for reaching out to us. We can understand the stress, frustration and emotional rollercoaster that you may have experienced while waiting for these results and we apologize for any delay in receiving these results. It is our understanding that the attending veterinarian has been in contact and has reviewed the results with you. Banfield T*** has gone downhill big time with the retirement of Dr. L***** who gave my two dogs excellent care. The vets left now can't handle the work like Dr. L***** could. I had a check-up appointment scheduled for next Sunday and I was expecting it to go like it has for the past 12 years; I take my dogs in and I wait while they get a checkup. I just received a call from Banfield for my appointment and they told me that they no longer do exams while you wait; they now only do exams when you drop your pet off in the mornin... read more

So I will never, ever take a pet to Banfield ever again in my life. They are a bunch of scam artists and will swindle you for every single dime. I gave away my pet to a good friend of mine and we transferred a plan to his name. However, my friend wants to cancel it because the Banfield's close to him have bad reviews, so he wanted to cancel. Now they are saying that, since he is canceling, that I have to pay 240 for services that I hadn't even received yet! Are you kidding me?? I will never support Petsmart/Banfield ever aga... read more

Crooks! They advertise their insurance as a monthly wellness plan. However, IT IS NOT. It is an annual contract, and as SOON as you sign on the dotted line to Banfield you now owe the full amount due regardless of circumstance. I brought my newly adopted dog in for a UTI check bc she was asking to pee every hour to two hours. They said the medical check and lab will be $xxx, but we have a monthly wellness(pet insurance) where its a "routine covered" procedure. So stupidly, I signed up. She did not have a UTI, only behavioria... read more

I had been taking my dog into Banfield since she was born, then they closed their office in ********* (****) and I was forced to take her to the ******** office. From day one going there all they did was try to get money from me. Running the same tests over and over for things they said she had but never giving me a solution on how to fix it or showing me any results. I could NEVER see the doctor, they always wanted to book me as a drop off and have the doctor call me back. I took my dog there in December because she had a c... read more

On 7/19/18 I took my healthy 8-year old cat, Ashes, in to Banfield Pet Hospital to be shaved and they talked me into their wellness plan. So I joined and he had an appointment on 7/21/18 for a teeth cleaning and shave. On 8/3/18 we took Ashes in because he hadn't eaten in 7-days. They said the tests came back clean and they gave him fluids because he was dehydrated. Ashes died this morning, 8/6/18, at 6:00am. We took his body to Banfield the morning of 8/6/18 and they said there was nothing they could have done because the t... read more
