I have been to many vets prior to my wellness plan, and I have to say this was my best decision. Doctor T*****; located at the Union, New Jersey building, has been the best thing that has happened to my three dogs. She is attentive, caring, knowledgable, informative, and is patient when you're describing your pets problems. I highly recommend her to everyone that asks about a quality vet; which is hard to find!

I've used Banfield for the life of my first pet, nearly 12 years. I've only had good experiences with them. My husband was in the military and I was able to move my plan from Washington state to Virginia and back home to NJ. When my dog died, I called to cancel the plan and they cancelled my plan at no cost to me. All the vets I've encountered have been good to my pet. I have taken my dog to Banfield for over a year now and while he is afraid of the process and a large dog, he has always managed to get treated. The last visit, I opted to leave him there and later pick him up. I was called minutes after leaving and told there would be an additional fee charged for restraining him. I had never been charged this on the 7 or 8 previous visits but was rudely told I would be paying it today, that they gave him Benedryl and they were not sure if they would be able to complete anything else. I have had a very bad experience with Banfield. Each month I have to call to order my dog her prescription there always seems to be a problem. One time the doctor ordered the wrong dosage. ******* pharmacy told me I had to call Dr. chicoki to have her correct it. I spoke to the front desk clerk at Banfield she insisted there was nothing she could do because the doctor had several surgeries scheduled. Meanwhile my dog is out of her pills. I will never ever step foot remotely near a Banfield Pet Hospital ever again. The Wellness Plan scam is the worst. I've paid into this plan since day one of having my dog. He recently passed away and to add insult to injury, I'm told I'll still have to pay the balance of the contract - even though my pet is gone and not using the services. This is conveniently left out of any explanations up front. Had I known I would have cancelled the plan years ago and gotten a real insurance policy. So, buyer beware!! I could not be more dissatisfied with my most recent experience with Banfield Pet Hospital. My wife and I brought our dog and cat in to Banfield Pet Hospital at 1000 S Clearview Pkwy, Suite 1050 Harahan, LA on 1/15 for their dental cleanings and comprehensive exams. They are both enrolled in Wellness Plans. It was determined that our cat had a urinary tract infection and needed antibiotics to treat it. I took my female dog in for a routine teeth cleaning on Dec 8 2017 at 8am. I was quoted at ~350.00 if I were to enroll into their "Wellness Plan" I said ok and enrolled. After I left I got a call from them stating she was acting up and said she would need anesthesia before the procedure could be started, they mentioned that was routine and included with the plan. DO NOT USE BANFIELD UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIED TO AND RIPPED OFF. My regular Vet had retired and I was looking for a new Vet in my neighborhood. I am on disability and live on a fixed income. When I came across a coupon for a Free Office Visit online I decided to try Banfield. Big mistake. I am mad at myself for not checking their reviews first. We do show that when you presented the urine sample that the office visit/exam fee was adjusted off of your invoice and not charged. We also show that there were 3 diagnosed conditions on the day of your visit. Also please note that the prescription food at this location is priced, stocked and sold by PetSmart not Banfield, so we cannot affect the price. We will however look into the pricing of the antibiotics in your area.

Bad Experience with Wellness Plan. The corporate office changes the rules and do not inform the actual sites or the actual site doesn’t know what they are talking about. Site states I can purchase wellness online, I try then corporate office states you can only purchase st site within 4 days of a visit. Call site back and they are unaware that there are no online submissions. They are unable to enroll via phone so have to waste time to go over there to purchase it, and they said that it has to be within 3 days and it’s corpo... read more
