If I could give Zero I would. I thought that getting a wellness plan was the best thing I could do. Well, I was wrong. I was charged a monthly fee that seemed high but I thought this was the best place to take my pet so i was ok paying a little bit extra. Then from one month to the next the fee almost doubled, because they gave me an incorrect fee??. We have a wellness plan with Banfield for our dog that we are paying about $36 a month for which comes out of my checking account each month. The plan was originally setup by my daughter as she had the dog originally but my wife and I ended up keeping the dog with us so we had things setup to have the cost come out of our account. We have not used the plan for a long time since we moved and we tried to call to get it canceled. Banfield Pet Hospital in Newark DE would not issue a prescription for heartworm medication for my dog. My dog has been on heartworm medication all year around without missing a dose or late taking it since she was 11 weeks old. And the doctor there had prescribed Sentinel prior year without blood test when I took my dog there for a yearly exam, so I simply called in to renew my dog’s prescription. I have a wellness plan at Banfield Pet Hospital in Watchung. I have been taking my dog their since he was a puppy in 2015. They are always totally booked and I have never been seen at my appointment time. The wait has always been half an hour to one hour wait with an appointment. Today I had an appointment for a comprehensive exam and shots at 11:30 am. I was running a little late and out of courtesy called at 11:10 and told them I would be a little late. I have the wellness plan for my pet with them for the past 3 yrs now. This complaint is with the Falls Church branch only. I understand, upselling has become a market standard. But, duping customers and charging/ upcharging and refusing to even come out and answer is something I couldnt understand. My wife and I have taken our pets, two dogs and a cat, to the San Bernardino Banfield for 18 years. The service we have received has been excellent. We have had no trouble scheduling appointments on short notice when we've needed them, and our waiting times for all appointments have been minimal. The doctors and staff have been consummately professional. We can totally sympathize with those who have had bad experiences with this hospital, but it has not been our experience.

Horrible and waste of time. They lied about my dog not having worms and it took 3 different visits for them to say he finally did. They charged me on a day they said they would not charge me. I’ve been nothing but disappointed with their services. Will never suggest anyone to come here

Banfield killed our beloved dog his name is Jiggy he’s 8 years old. I want to tell everyone NOT to go to banfield. They don’t care about your pet they only want your money. I will give them 0 star all pet owner be careful do not use Banfield.
