BANFIELD KILLED OUR DOGS! I ONLY LEFT 1 STAR BECAUSE THEY WON'T ALLOW ME TO SUBMIT THIS WITHOUT ONE. I urge to whomever may be reading this to never allow these crooks to "care" for your pets. Earlier this year we had to put our family golden retriever, Ollie, to sleep because of Banfield's lack of care. Horrible experience at Banfield. Our cat was misdiagnosed by Dr. Leopold, who works out of Perrysburg and Holland, Ohio location. We received such disappointing service there. Had to take our cat to another local Vet to get the right treatment. I complained to the Banfield Customer Advocate Dept. Finally got a follow up call from Dr. Leopold afterwards but she had an attitude, never apologized and only agreed to give me a partial refund. Banfield Pet Hospital is HORRIBLE!! They only care about money, not your pet. They have bad business practices and lie about their costs. I was quoted $246 for our "free exam" plus vaccinations and a fecal test for worms for our new pup. They talked me into their "wellness plan" which offers preventive care for a year with monthly payments. After looking into their reviews and prices, I decided to cancel our membership (within the 4 day no penalty time frame). I am beyond livid right now. I had two dogs with wellness plans here. I always paid any additional amounts for services, etc, right away and had the plans on an automatic debit. At a certain point, I stopped hearing from Banfield and thought maybe they had canceled my account as my dogs were both older and I didn’t know if the “puppy” plans had an age limit. Today, I called the Silver Spring Banfield located on Cherry Hill Road. I spoke with a representative and informed them that I needed to pick up a monthly heartworm pill for my dog. I was on hold while the representative transferred the records, then I was informed that since had never been seen at that specific location, they were unable to fill the prescription. I have a cat that suffers from urinary obstructions. He has been placed on special prescription diet through my regular vet few years ago. I renew the prescription every year and twice a year I have to get a card printed at Banfield Hospital that allows me to purchase the food. Today, I tried to find out why the Banfield cards are necessary since my prescription is still valid outside of Banfield anyway. They neglected to tell me that after 1 year, my wellness plan will AUTO RENEW and continue to pull money out of my account so I woke up to an overdrafted account the day after Christmas. On top of that, my poor baby was taken in the back ALONE for his shots and initial check up and when we got home, he was scratching his back and a nasty sore developed so we had to rush him back to Banfield. I was given 3 different prices for surgery. Initially it was $200. Then it was $231. Lastly it was $341. And when I got home with my cat. he was bleeding. I turned around took him right back. They glued it closed. By that night there was blood everywhere and my cat was crying in pain. I had to double dose him with pain meds just so he could sleep. I have has 3 cats that were declawed and I never saw blood. With Banfield I see blood and the amputated joints. I regret taking my cat to them for surgery.

Not sure they really care about pets at this location. Dropped my dog off at 7:30am as agreed to for a comprehensive exam with dental cleaning. My dog gets really anxious and so we had discussed a plan where he would go under anesthesia upon his arrival so they could easily perform all of the services. The vet neglected to read the notes and did what he/she wanted to do instead of really understanding who her patient was. My dog became really anxious and didn't let them do anything.
