We have been members for over 15 years. The "maintenance fees" keep going up even though we were told these were part of maintaining current properties. How has this nearly tripled?! Been planning on leaving for years but kept hoping to sell the property. Finally gave up and decided to just cancel. We are then informed that it will take 6-8 weeks to process the cancellation. I had a credit card with Wyndham through their Vacation Club Credit through ************** They cancelled it without telling me even though I had a zero balance. When I confronted them on it, they said it was because of inactivity and they are allowed to if you don't us it for over 36, wait 31 months. I haven't even had the card 2 years. They closed it at the end of March, right when everything with Covid-19 hit it's high, and the Safer at Home order was put in place. They are definitely not out to help anyone. BEWARE !!! FRAUD !!! EVIL !!! How is this still a business allowed to take money from people? I waited three years to take a cruise vacation and agreed to a timeshare tour for a great vacation price. I have been a Wyndham share owner for 5 years and am very disappointed with this company. Do yourself a favor - save your money fore your vacations. Do not get involved with this garbage. I had issues with this membership and when we had reservations it wasn't what we wanted. And don't get me started with the maintenance dues which they charge you monthly and which keep going up in price. I have 3 words to say: it's a scam. Was tricked into getting into a contract with Wyndam for a rental timeshare. They opened a line of credit without my approval, charged this line of credit with my approval, and then told me I cant use the rental for 50% of my contract. The sales people are crooks, the customer service is the worst, and the company is devoid of any morals and ethics. I had the customer service person actual admit on a recorded line, "We screwed you". The worst piece if business I have ever experienced.

This company is telemarketing trash in a hotel uniform. Erase my info and stop calling me. I curse the day my phone number was given to your company and one of your depressed call center employees first called me. How do you make a living annoying people who request multiple times to be removed from your useless list. Use the wasted money on this telemarketing scam to improve the stays of your actual guests. Morons.

We were owners for a number of years and we fell for the high pressure sales pitch. Even sat in the office at Pagoda Springs for hours telling the sales person we couldn't afford to make more purchases at that time. We finally got up and left. Another sales person showed up at our unit next morning insisting on continuing the presentation. Slammed door in his face. Having been an owner for over 20 years I am truly disappointed by the changes brought about by Wyndham. It used to be a vacation community built around the owners. That is no longer the case. What I have observed- The resorts are oversold so it has become unlikely that we can get a reservation where we want. Even trying 13 months in advance does not help in many cases. The "Developer" (Wyndham) is simply overselling to increase their profits. The maintenance dues have tripled since we bought our membership. This should not b... read more
One word to describe this whole thing: SCAM. They unknowingly sign you up for credit and then when you cancel, they give you a run around and refuse to remove the remaining payments. They still refuse to remit our money and we are having to deal with harassing phone calls. We will be filing a complaint with the FTC shortly.
