Spoke with a David T***** (pronounced t*******) who put my family of 5 in a 1-bedroom suite that sleeps 4. When questioned and after checking with an "inventory specialist", he said it would be no problem to upgrade and extend our stay at the **********************. All I had to do was call reservations once I received my confirmation. I called reservations and they told me they would put a request in and asked for 48-72 hours. This happened in ************ Resort, in Orlando, FL. I will name drop because the sales agent made it a point that he does not want bad blood and will be professional to prevent name dropping. I feel that the name dropping is justifiable. Got lured with an incentive (and charged $40 for it) to attend a "90 minute presentation" and due to the time of day, was told that the last session for the day was up. Never Wyndham again for my family! We do not own a time share with these guys, and with our experience never will! Try imagining a 9hr plane ride to your dream vacation in Hawaii, to get to the "resort" you were supposed to be at and the reservation was canceled. Almost 2 hours dealing with the gentleman at the resort plus another at a sister resort to try and figure out what happened. Am currently owner of 11 timeshares and are extremely happy with 10 of them. The Wyndham timeshare I own has never been a good product and I have been attempting to contact Sr. Owner Care Specialist Cody O**** now for 4 months to resolve my complaints. He and Wyndham refuse to respond to any phone calls, they don't pick up the phone, it only goes to voice mail. If you want you can exchange emails but so far this has not happened. Happened across their booth at a Bridal show, they touted it as a vacation package(Never mentioning once that it was a time share presentation). We agreed to purchase it, he asked a few bits of info such as what is your income, age, ect. Charged my card....stuffs some papers in a bag along with some keychains and coozies and said "that's just some swag for you". I recently accompanied a relative, who owns a timeshare with Plantation, for an HOA meeting and (what she thought) a Wyndham presentation. Wyndham sales staff stated they were now co owners with Plantation (the signs do state Wyndham Plantation Resort) and when we told them we had to go to the HOA meeting. they said it was combined with the sales meeting; both of which were lies. Wyndham is possibly the worst timeshare organization there is. It has been one problem after another. I have tried to book through their website where the calendar shows availability only to find out when I select a check in date that there is none, then I contacted them and they tell there system is down, so vip can't help. Then the website logs me out so I have to start from scratch. They misrepresented the vacation options offered when they sold to us. Ownership it serves no purpose if you can't get into any resorts. I would like to speak to an experience my parents encountered at the Wyndham in Destin Florida. My parents are Wyndham timeshare owners and they planned a family trip with their grown children, myself being one of them and their grandchildren for a week in Destin, Florida.
