We became owners with Worldmark the Club in 1996 before it came under helm of Wyndam. Since Wyndam took over we have dealt with sales people at resorts that do some Very disturbing techniques and high pressure to try and get you to buy more points. We love th resorts but would never purchase more points. Recently we made a big move from Oregon to Washington. I changed my address through their website. If I could give you a minus 1 star I would. I tried to get out of this "scam" and after trying several times to speak to someone I finally got through this time and ask for names of who I was talking to. Unfortunately I did not get names from the previous times, This time I was on hold for 50 min.listening to that stupid music and phony advertisement. We attended the timeshare presentation here in Napa, CA after we were promised a $150 "dinner out" certificate and a free vacation of 2 nights/3 days in Palm Springs CA. by a group marketing the Wyndham Vacation Ownership program in San Jose CA at the Mubadala Tennis Classic. We did not buy despite a 3 hour presentation (supposed to be 90 minutes). We attended the presentation at "Shawnee Resort" on our 2nd day of our exchanged vacation through RCI. It was very high pressured and misleading, and we rejected it several times but they would not take no for an answer. After about 3 hours (which was supposed to be 90 minutes) they kept pushing the issue, and so we purchased a plan. We have been owners with Wyndham since 2004 and it has been NOTHING but misleading information, lies, scams, and a burden on us indefinitely! Every time we tried to take a vacation, there would be no availability, and if there was availability, it was a lower rated resort with a serious roach problem and run down and certainly in need of repairs. I stayed at the Meadows in Branson. I booked thru **********. When I checked in I had to go to the members center for our parking pass. There I was approached about getting hopper tix for Silver Dollar City and White Water park for basically half price if I went thru the presentation. I agreed and signed a paper that I would attend the 2:30 presentation for 120 minutes. That is what I agreed to and at the end I would be given the tickets that I paid for BEFORE the presentation. We love our Wyndham Timeshare. We've owned points for 11 years now. We didn't go to the "free weekend" and expect it would actually be free. We did our homework ahead of time. If you know that you will only be able to go for a week or less in a particular month in a particular spot, and not spend much money, owning a timeshare isn't for you.
