We sat through a presentation during our recent stay in Pigeon Forge. What a scam. High pressure tactics. Started with a presentation by someone who was supposed to be inspirational but was a used car salesman at best. They put a credit authorization in front of us before they even told us the price. The saleswoman told my husband he was disrespecting her because he seemed uninterested. The manager yelled at us and told us to prove we had good credit. On August 10th, 2019 I went to a sales presentation for Wyndham Vacation Club while I was on vacation at Myrtle Beach, SC. I am all too familiar with the time share scheme so my only intentions during this meeting was free breakfast and discounted tickets. Wyndham is full of lies and misrepresentations!! We have now been trying to get out of our contract for a while now. I sent multiple emails to some Wyndham representatives with NO responses. I don't know how a professional company can just ignore their owners. My husband and I refuse to give another dime to this timeshare. We have been going back and forth with Worldmark by Wyndham over our their inability to perform. We paid to be able to vacation seamlessly and to get in all over. Instead, we are stonewalled by availability. The company we pay to OWN so we can vacation when we want to has blocked us from doing so. We have owned from 2007 and only been able to vacation 10 times, and we have been denied 10 vacations. So only 50% success rate. Would anyone pay to get 50% of what they want? I want everyone to think really good before they get suckered into being an owner with Wyndham. I Purchased in 2012. I tried to go on vacation to Bonnet Creek, Palm Aire, Sea Gardens, and Cypress Palms. To put this into prospective I have only been successful at gaining access to my rights as an owner only half the times I tried. So I have only made it to 4 vacations since 2012. All the Hyperbole from Wyndham. -You can rent your property and make money; only happened 2 times in 9 years. What a "smart" investment into our future ?!? - You will always be able to get the vacation you want and when you want it. We filed a complaint on the BBB and they did not reply and it does not seem to be public, so we want others to know the perils that they can run into with Wyndham. Our complaints with Wyndham are as such: 1) We had a heck of a time trying to get into a resort through our ownership. We have spent hours on the phone trying to make several reservations to no avail. That is not what we paid for. 2) We paid for luxury; We got squalor when we finally were able to get in somewhere. I would not recommend anyone to join a presentation by Worldmark by Wyndham. We have had a long relationship with this company. It goes back to 2006. The First time we had issues with them was in 2012. When we upgraded Katherine and Marti told us that we could sale our unused points for cash flow. That was our deciding factor in upgrading, and then it went downhill from there. When I tried to find out how to sell them, I was informed that this was a fabrication. We were going to file a complaint on this site however, you can not if it is for employee practices, but I think we can do this review. My suggestion for anyone looking to signing up for a timeshare is not with Wyndham. They were like sharks around us at the presentation. They would not even let us leave. When we asked to go outside just to smoke they guy followed us outside to smoke and kept an eye on us and it was very uncomfortable.
