I am a Wyndham Rewards member, and I enjoy that and use it often. Because of that, I was offered a stay at a resort (not a Wyndham resort, but near one) for a reasonable price with the agreement that my spouse and I would attend a 2-hour sales presentation. I knew nothing going in about Wyndham Vacations (Destinations). We made plans for our day for after the presentation, as there were sights we wanted to see. I was trying to leave a review for Worldmark and It leads me to Wyndham. I know Wyndham owns them now so I guess this is ok. But Worldmark is the most distressing company my partner and I have ever had to deal with. And when I say had to, I mean we are fastened to them with a contract and it seems there is no way out. Which if we enjoyed it would not be so bad. However, we pay ever-increasing fees for less and even less as the times goes by. The perks just keep disappearing and there is nothing we can do about it. There is an inability to use the timeshare due to no availability. This is frustrating as we are paying a monthly service and can not use it consistently and as easily as they act as you will. We do not like the level of stress at check-in as you are forced to interact with the concierge to that try to impose meetings. I wish they had an online check-in and NO MORE MEETINGS. WE DID NOT AGREE TO BE FORCE FED MEETINGS. This does not lend a relaxing vacation and so we do not even want to use it. AT ALL.

******************************************* Wyndham Resorts Sued For Allegedly Deceptive Timeshare Sales (topclassactions & youtube ) We were scammed. 2 weeks after we purchased when our sales rep was supposed to call us and check in on us, but did not, we knew then we had made a big mistake. They are very supportive and give you all the good feels while in there but are not available to you after. They tried to call us a month later to buy more points as well. Very pushy and RUDE staff. Always trying to push a timeshare on anyone who walks by and will NOT take no for an answer. I was hounded for a little over 5 hours by 5 different people about a timeshare and once the dust settled my answer was still NO at the end I was treated very rude and as if I was an inconvenience.

I have been a Wyndham owner since 2005. I own 5 properties totaling 700,000 points. I bought all this on ebay! I never paid over $1000 for any of the 5 properties. I pay a reasonable maintenance fee. All the resorts are top notch. I no longer attend any "updates" because it is always a bad experience. They always, always try to make me but another property directly from Wyndham for $15,000 to $25,000. I always tell them no and then another salesman comes in and continues the pressure. Our relationship with Wyndham has been a tough one. For us, our interactions with Wyndham's employees have been quite the show. They are very manipulative, to say the least. We bought a timeshare from an owner and the first time we used it we went to an owners informational meeting where they proceeded to tell us we could not use our timeshare unless we bought from them, so we got scared and signed a contract with them. THIS COMPANY DOES SCUMMY PRACTICES. THEY WILL BLATANTLY LIE TO YOU TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP FOR A CREDIT CARD. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! While on vacation me and my fiance agreed to what we were told was going to be a 2 hour presentation. It ended up being about 4 hours. The initial presentation wasn't to bad. The lady that sat down with us was nice she was pretty realistic with us for the most part. Our issues with this company: 1)The expense of the upgrades and the maintenance fees, which are never really relayed in its entirety. 2) Vacations interrupted with constant phone calls to attend owners meetings (which is really sales presentations to get you to buy more) 3)The constant pressure to upgrade and the tricks to make it happen. 4) Misleading Description of the rooms, accommodations, and amenities 5) Lack of availability in certain parts of the country we need to travel to so it was really not the perfect package t... read more
