However, my loyalty ends today, as I have never been treated with such unprofessionalism and with such mistreatment as at Avis Aventura Mall. This was the absolute worst in travel I ever experienced and NEVER has anyone put me in such a situation that could have killed me. I'm a single woman that was traveling from North Carolina to New York alone. The right front passenger tire went flat on 195. I had to sit in a rest area that only had vending machines and restrooms. The worst company ever I went to Avis through Uber of course I have to have a Bank Account to get a car rental I was paying weekly out of my Uber Account I quit Uber due to being Double Charged I have send them my personal Bank Account information etc. etc it’s now going on 2 months this company hasn’t once fix this issue I hate this company I thought you they were trustworthy I sure was wrong.
I had rented a car from AVIS (exact address below) for 6 days. They charged $150 miscellaneous fee. When I called them asking what the charges were about, they said "cleaning fee". When I asked them to show proof of the car being dirty, they had no answer and hung up the call. I rented a Ram Rebel and paid in full on 2/3/2023. When I got to my destination I checked to see how much my hold would be only to find out I had a pending charge of $3463.05. I immediately called AVIS and was assured that was a mistake and that it I would not be charged that amount. I woke up this morning to find the charge for exactly $3463.05. I reserved a 16’ budget truck for my moving needs. When I went to pick up my reservation. The lady behind the counter told me she saw the reservation but gave the truck away and only had a 12’ truck. Considering everyone seemed to be moving the same weekend as I it was the only truck left in the city as I called around all day. I call customer service for three days straight to get no resolution. Made a reservation online to pickup the car at the Champaign, IL location at Willard Airport. When making the reservation, I used my debit card and of course they immediately took out the $463.86 from my account. It said on the website, that they take both credit and debit cards for payment. When we arrived at the airport to pick up the car, they told us that they could not use a debit card because they are an airport and use only credit cards. Hi,ZERO stars if possible. Rent a car any where else but here. Rented a car there on May 13, 2023. Declined all added options. Rented the car for one day and returned on Sunday May 14th. When I received my credit card statement I was charged for one of the optional that I had declined. Went through all the channels to get charge reversed, but to no avail. Terrible customer service. I see that they are not BBB accredited so I doubt this complaint will be resolved in any way.
