I made the rental for $332.00 and paid in advance. They said my card would be charged upon pick up, it wasn't. They charged me over 300$ in hidden fees and I only found out when they took $687.63 after my trip. They charged me $150 because my pick up and drop off were in different locations (I explicitly stated that in the reservation I made two months prior and the agent confirmed the different locations when I picked up the car, no fee was ever mentioned). Horrible services, billing and no customer service. Avis rental agreement. March 15. 2022 Had to add a day of rental and change return site. Avis computers were down and so was the global call center. Finally got through Avis preferred. He made the date and return changes. Told us there would be a one day add on charge but he could not tell us the amount because of computer problems. We returned the car the next day. This company is a rip-off. I would give no stars if I could. I asked for a luxury convertible for my vacation since it was my mom's birthday. I double-checked I would have it when I got there the next day she said yes it is waiting for you and all set to pick up. When I got to the rental location they told me they had none! They gave me the lowest grade car offered and took my money TWICE! When I asked the lady at the desk for my refund for the low grade car she told me to call 1-800 there's nothing she can do about it! Do NOT rent a car from this company!! We had no choice but to rent from them because our flights were cancelled. We had connecting flights in Atlanta, Georgia and it was a madhouse due to all the flight delays and cancellations. AVIS was the only rental place that had carsthis is where price gouging took place. I made the original reservation in October 2021 and paid in full ($492) and recently received an email that told me to "check in" online to save time at the service window upon arrival. I selected the link and it did not take me to my reservation to check in but took me to a "make a new reservation" page from which I exited. I have never experienced such an incompetent company. There is a serious flaw in the business model and computer system used for renting cars here. On arrival to Fort Myers Airport, no car available to choose via App, no car assigned on board, very long lines at regular Avis counter and slightly less (45 minutes) at Avis Preferred. I had a confirmed reservation to pick up a car in Dunedin, Florida on March 17. We were in an Uber on our way to pick up the car when Avis called to tell me they didn't have our car. Our plan was to drive across the state to visit friends in Cocoa Beach. Now here we were with no car. They said they did not have a car available within 50 miles and they could not help me! Awful company to rent cars from. You can never speak to someone. They charged and took money from my account without my acknowledgment, costing almost 3 grand. Will never rent from them again. ********** is a much better place to rent cars.

Rented a vehicle in February and had no issues with deposit being returned in a timely manner. It took 2 days. Rented again last week have yet to receive our deposit back.
