I rented a SUV November 2021 at Thanksgiving time. Returned the vehicle after three days with NO damage. In March 2022, four months later, I get a letter from Avis's recovery company (********) telling me to pay $10,000.00 for damages. A Avis attendant actually told me where to park and I gave him the key. There are multiple comments on Goggle about this being a scam and some insurance companies pay anyway. Ridiculous

I wish I could give a negative number - Booked, pre-paid, and pre-checkin for a rental 3-31-22 at DFW $413 with a return on 4-4-2022. Upon arrival at DFW- no express lane as promised. Waited 90 min for the car- car was dirty. Drove to Tyler Tx. 11 hrs later the car's check engine light came on and automatic transmission would not shift- stick in traffic and manage to make my way to a parking lot. Placed my family of 5 at risk in an SUV that clearly was not inspected. Three different types of tires(not brand) with one about to blow out. Apparently my family is only worth $300 to them.

My name is Nigel, I had rented a car from Avis on 11/22/2021 under Avis rental number . On this day, I experienced a traumatic accident where a car hit me and caused me to spin across the highway during oncoming traffic and I almost lost my life. Avoid Avis/ Budget please. Please do not leave something in a car by mistake. My husband rents cars frequently for work. His normal company was booked so he went with AVIS. He had the car for a little under a week. He returned it to Houston Hobby on Friday. By Monday, I realized I left my corporate phone in the car. I tried calling the location but of course you cannot talk to the location directly so I filed a lost and found complaint and then went up to the location. I waited in line for TWO hrs at the Clearwater airport to pick up the car. We stayed in Tampa for the night and left for the FL keys the next morning. Less than 1 hr into the trip we had a flat tire. I called the emergency road side asst number in the rental agreement. They first told me to put the spare on a get the tire fixed. I told them I wasn't comfortable doing that, that I wanted another car. Disastrous rental! After several days of driving in Colorado while making our way back to the Denver airport, a rear tire suddenly shredded. We were on the very busy I-25 northbound. Fortunately, we made it to the shoulder by weaving between cars. I spoke with Avis representatives several times (after absurd wait time with "you're business is important to us"... Filled up tank before returning car and they charged me $97 for gas. Customer services rep had a very heavy accent and extremely hard to understand. Was told it would taste weeks to resolve. Dishonest company!

Was charged $75 for a tire repair that we still have no idea why. Everything was fine when we dropped the car off.
