Just a useless company operating in the shadows was told my vehicle would be $1100 and some change and by the time I had dropped it of I was charge $1600, all these additional charges were never mentioned or explained just a horrible experience with everything will never use your services again.

Hello I'm jaquoine w****** and I tried to get a rental from avis over the phone so the guy never mentioned about the 200 deposit plus on top of that he said with everything was 108$ and right after my card was charged, he canceled my reservation and charged my card twice. This was last Thursday and I still don't have my money back

Poor experience with Avis in Orlando, FL and from start to finish there were issues. First I was given the wrong car (I paid for a full-sized car and I got a mid-sized car). I wanted to just pass this off as the process took a very long time and I wanted to get going. When we go to return the car, we were ushered into a slight area and hurried out of the car. Outraged with being overcharged. Our original receipt was $258.90. We returned the car the next day on time at our local airport and were charged$653.48. After waiting for an hour on the phone, I was told the car was returned late and with no fuel in it and that we had purchased 3 types of insurance. First, we returned the car on time, but the office was closed, we utilized the drop box as instructed per the note at the airport on the Avis counter. I want to report this scam from Avis. Apparently, Avis set up a wrong charge to me. My rental was returned 04/04/2022. Today(05/18/2022), I got charged by $250 for cleaning. Avis provided an inspection receipt, but inspection receipt shows that the car was returned at 04/13/2022. The Odometer does not match either. The Odometer was 1618 at return, in my rental receipt. However in the inspection receipt, the Odometer is 1730. This is Fraud from Avis to scram my money. I am lucky that I found this gap after spending hours ... read more

The worst. Went to pick up car that we did not know closed at noon. They had a similar car 20 minutes away that was open but only if we paid $850 more. No humans to talk to with any ability to do anything other then answer the phone. Do not rely on Avis. Use the company that delivers to you. Never again.

Avis apparently relies too heavily on their faulty technology. I was charged almost $200 for gas when the car was indeed returned with a full tank. This was all due to their tracker or app or whatever that had not communicated/ updated to the full tank. It's also interesting because I did not check the vehicle in through the app. There was an actual human person who got in the car and looked at gauges. This company is horrible. The staffs are horrible. The Customer Service Rep was not very helpful. On 4/23/22, I picked up my rental car from Avis in San Francisco airport with a full tank of gas. On 4/27/22, I returned my rental car to Avis in the same location with an almost full tank of gas. However, the Gas Service Option was wrongfully charged when I returned the rental.
