It would be ZERO STARS IF I COULD CHOOSE. I never rent cars because I have a car but I booked a trip to take my daughter on for her graduation this year. Let me just say, I have never been done so wrong in my life. NOT ONLY did they provide a car that was disgusting inside and outside. Never once cleaned whatsoever!!! When I went to book a car for an upcoming trip I found a car and there was two discounts totaling $80-$90 off my reservation that were automatically applied, one being pay now and save I cant remember what the other was specifically. Everything looked good I agreed and booked it for the price shown I immediately get a charge and a receipt and the price is not what I agreed the discounts were removed. Zero stars. I have been charged $218 for something that was 100 percent Boulder Avis' fault. I rented a full size sedan in May 2022. I drove the car for a few days with no issues, but then one morning the car didn't start. I had to call roadside assistance and someone arrived about two hours later. I was about 10 minutes away from one of the largest airports in the US. Avis used a "bait and switch" trick on me. Without my knowledge it added $329.18 to my bill because I reserved -and picked up -the car at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany. When I got the bill at the end of the trip and protested, I was told the "surcharge" was because it costs Avis more to do business at an airport location.

Avis car rental now does credit checks that means if you rent a car you'll need good credit to rent from them and then you have to wait 7 business days for a refund so beware if ya is new credit tho they have goin

Car was hit by someone who rented a car with this group. After waiting hours to speak with someone on the claims line, my customer service agent was rude. I was also told that I could not file a claim because the plates "were not in the system" ( have a photo of car&plates ) and that I needed to call the place where (someone else) rented the car to get their rental agreement #. Have used budget/Avis twice at two separate locations in the country for car rental; both experiences have been horrible. Two+ hour wait for a car that was previously reserved and prepaid for. Customer service was subpar at best. Could have taken a flight home and come back in the amount of time spent waiting for a reservation that was previously paid in full! Had I known this experience was going to be this horrible I would have never booked with them.

Just a bad business. We've been getting cars that have said they've been cleaned with trash in them, cars that say they need to be serviced, cars with issues, etc. And each time, avis is absolutely no help.

Horrible horrible customer service experience and we are out a LOT of money since our recent rental in March in Orlando, FL. 1. Returned our vehicle to MCO on March 18, the attendant asked "are keys in car" and that was it for check-out 2. Receive a letter that we're going to be litigated for stealing said vehicle 3.
