We had a terrible experience with Budget Car Rental at the Savannah Airport location. I am pregnant and was traveling with 3 children under 5 and we waited 2hrs and 45 mins for our pre-reserved car. The children were crying and melting down because they needed lunch and naps. The car was not clean and the desk agent refused to offer us any type of discount for the hassle. I have been overcharged twice now. And the charges often appear and then disappear from my banking history but my bank confirms that I wad charged on 4/29/22 and again on 5/2/22. The only time that I can get a response from these employees is when I owe something to them. I have reported several issues with my rental and never get the simplest reply. But if they can't charge my card because of incompetence then they're immediately in communication and back to not responding once I raise an issue with my rental. My car was no... read more

Reserved a car for Fort Myers Florida. Got to the airport and waited almost 3hrs. in line. My rental was pre paid. When I finally got to the counter they said that the car I wanted was not available and that they would give me a different one, I said no problem. When they asked for my credit card for a security deposit I gave them my discover card because I pre paid with my visa debit card through paypal. Upon review of your rental details our records revealed that the prepaid reservation number XXXXXXXXXXX from the rental period of March 19, 2022 to March 25, 2022 a 6 day in the amount of $784.23. I've been an Avis customer for years. I live in Roswell New Mexico and my local Avis is the airport location. Last year the women I was dating got a job at Avis. She worked there about 3 months. The employee there would occasionally let her take a car home. He said it was a perk of the job. He didn't even own a car just took one off his lot everyday. The women and I split up. I booked a AVIS rental through *********** for a family vacation in Croatia. I had the rental car in Croatia for six days and returned the car in the exact same condition that I received it, in fact with more gas than what I had received. I had pre-paid the rental charges through *********** and now I see a $333.13 charge and second $92 charge on my credit card. Rented a standard vehicle on Thursday 4/28/22 from Avis at the El Paso airport. I was given a free upgrade only to find out that it was damaged already and ended up with a flat tire. I tried calling road side assistance in which the tow truck company, after hours of waiting, arrived and didn't have the tools to lower the spare and replace the tire. Avis then stated they'd have another tow truck out the following day to deliver a new vehicle and pick up the damage one. No one ever showed up that day. I was on the phone and ha... read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I rented a car in Charleston in April. After waiting in line for over an hour, I went to get what was the most disgusting, filthiest car I've ever been in. The car was not washed, there was dangerous mold on both the outside and inside and there was garbage wedged between the seats. I could not afford to wait another hour+ to exchange the car so I called Avis' version of "customer service" to have the car switched out or at least refunded. We will NEVER use avis again. Charged a $250 Miscelaneous fee on my card after pre-paying. Opened a ticket XXXXXXXXX with their customer service, called, there's no way to get an answer from this company. Absolutely awful.
