This company is horrible!!! I made a reservation a week before thanksgiving to see my family so I go to the branch to pay and pick up the car with my debit card but they do a credit check so now I'm left with no transportation to see my family for thanksgiving!! This is so hurtful and I will never book with Avis again.. Had Avis made their policy clear at the time of me booking i would have booked with another company because of my credit.... And no one can explain what Avis looks for when they pull the credit..

I reserved a vehicle for Avis 224 Madison Ave, Memphis, Tn location. The manager for the location alleged he spoke with me to send the reservation to the Airport, due to there were no cars at the downtown location because of the *****(***********************), after I showed up to the location. My reservation was sent to the Airport without notification and I was being charged extra;however, after doing a cancellation, I was informed I would have to pay $50 to cancel, which I should not be charged anything for whomever took ... read more

I'm writing this to whomever is reading this while waiting more than 30 minutes for a customer service representative on the phone... I'm not sure what the fundamental issue is with Avis right now but needless to say, it really doesn't matter....you continue to provide a new level of awful customer service. Hi I rented a vehicle in January 4th 2022 from Budget car rental at the Port Charlotte location with the following details I had an accident and after a lot of struggle, the contract was closed on august, 27 2022 but all the rental fees were waived by the rental location. In any other case I will be happy with this outcome, but not in this case. This is absolutely the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with Avis. How do you just leave early at least 30 minutes before closing time, when you know you have 10 or more reservations on the plane that's landing at 11. After hanging around I understand that's normal for this Avis location. They made me give you a star but I prefer not too

I never will use Avis again. We rented a car in June and then 4 1/2 months later we get a lettrr stating a $500 bill to replace a windshield. Really? How many other customers rented this car in those nearly 5 months? I have reported this to the BBB of Virginia and also our attorney. Apparently scams like this are common, just a way to increase revenue.

Please don't use Avis. They've become the absolute worst car rental company ever. We were loyal customers until about two years ago - but their preferred service is in shambles, often short on reserved cars, long lines even with reservations. We have been waiting on a credit for over 6 months for options on a rental we never received (satellite radio and navigation). They throw you in the first car that comes along and could care less about your reservation. I waited the requisite timeframe and have called 4 times now, only ... read more

The business said that they would respond in writing in 30 days. The BBB closed the case saying it was answered, when it very clearly wasn't. I hope it was a mistake and they weren't bought out, but seeing others' reviews...

I am a member and do not want to be. Been working over a month to quit your service. The BBB has done nothing for me but send ridiculous solicitions from other business not related to my production. I don't need a new website, I don't need insurance or financing. After over a year of payments, what I wanted and what I got were worlds apart. I just want out, and you send me another email telling me your charging me for another month before it's over.Unless you deal with people that are 100 years old, the BBB is archaic.
