About this business

The Austin Humane Society (AHS) is Austin's largest no-kill, non profit animal shelter and dog and cat adoption center. Each day, we have hundreds of cats and dogs in our shelter that are looking for a second chance at love and a family. We serve close to 8,000 animals each year through our both our adoption program and free feral cat spay and neuter clinic. AHS receives no city, state or federal funding, and relies solely on the support of individuals and businesses in our community.

I encourage everyone to get an adult cat from this shelter. So many of the adult cats don't get adopted for a long time because everyone wants a kitte... read more

The wound was well on its way to recovery, and not only that, but the cat himself was the picture of health. I was told MULTIPLE TIMES, it was sworn UP AND DOWN that this cat's health was in the clear and that I'd only have to make sure...Continue Reading

We love our newest family member. Carson, now Luke, is adjusting beautifully and his new big brother loves him so much already. We keep finding them sharing raw hides and snuggles.
