About this business
The Austin Humane Society (AHS) is Austin's largest no-kill, non profit animal shelter and dog and cat adoption center. Each day, we have hundreds of cats and dogs in our shelter that are looking for a second chance at love and a family. We serve close to 8,000 animals each year through our both our adoption program and free feral cat spay and neuter clinic. AHS receives no city, state or federal funding, and relies solely on the support of individuals and businesses in our community.

Thank you so much for helping us find the perfect fur baby for our older dog Casanova (now nova) loves his big brother and Dozer loves him back. Friends from the second we walked in the door. Our world is right as rain. Thanks Kelli for convincing me that a puppy was the way to go.

I had a great experience with my pet adoption. The best thing to do is rescue your pet. My dog Samuel is the best!!

I'm sorry, but after pleading with people whose heart's in the right place but just don't know better, sending out letters, doing all that I know to do to prevent well-meaning folks from listing dogs and cats on Craigs List...FOR FREE...I cannot condone what you are doing, Austin Humane Society. I imagine all the lowlife dog fighters short of bait dogs are overjoyed... Add to that it's Halloween, for God's sake. I bet all the black cats will be the first to go. I am heart sick...
