I bought the Asus Zenfone AR upon release. I expected great things. Oh how disappointed i was. One Pixel burst, leaving 2/3s of the screen unreadable. the volume buttons stuck. Having the phone in your pocket meant changing network connectivity. When i called Asus for a fix, all they could or would offer was 10 days with no cell service to try and fix the problem. ..
I purchased a motherboard from this company that stated it supported a specific series of CPUs (Ryzen 7). The BIOS on my computer did not support my processor, despite the processor having been released 7 months before the purchase date. After contacting the manufacturer for a resolution, they offered to update it, but refused to pay the shipping cost suggesting I could find someone local to update it at my own expense.
does not honor the 5-year warranties. when trying to RMA on new items. they will send you a used refurbished item in some how worse condition than the item you sent in to replace. and refuse to send a new one even though you just got it new.
Asus makes some great products, until that product begins to age. I bought an Asus k501ux gaming laptop a year ago, and it has done fine for me over the past year. However, as my laptop has begun to "age", I've noticed a complete lack of support in the form of drivers, replacement parts, and customer support. Asus laptops have a common issue. They almost refuse to have any real type of customer service. bought a bad item the store doesnt have another one to send out so i need to RMA the item. i asked if i could pay for cross shipping to get the item faster. they refused. they wanted to have my pay to return their broken item and have their RMA team confirm it doesnt work. i said no thank yoiu and returned it to the store. New Chromebook csme out of the box with a weak left hinge, after a few days it was gettng worse. Called for warranty repair and was told they don't have manufacturing problems and the problem was damageand i would have to pay, since damage is not covered under the warranty. They claim to have no issues at all with thier hinges.
After making some changes in the system setting in the control panel trying to increase my security, my computer told me it needed to restart in order to save the changes. Upon restarting, it asked me for a "startup password", or a "bios password". I never set a password on my computer, so this means that the manufacturer (ASUS) must be the one who set it. Asus Support is horrible. I purchased a very expensive Graphics cards and it went bad. Upon RMA I have been waiting for over a month. They do not respond to emails, they make mistakes on their end and punish the customer for it. I have been promised from "Supervisors" that my card would be shipped out multiple times and it still has not happened. I do not recommend buying Asus parts. The support is horrible and they will have you running around so much that you just want to give up. Pathetic customer service
I have been a diehard Asus fan. I have bought there laptops several times as well as monitors. This last laptop ************ I purchased new is a total piece of cheap garbage.
