They were running behind so it felt slightly rushed and I wasn’t thrilled about my diagnosis of there being nothing wrong even though I have had knee pain for several years. But besides that he has a good bedside manner and heard me out.
When I have tendon, ligament, or muniscus, problems, Doc Avery is my first & second choice, including two repair surgeries- so far.
Excellent Doctor that takes time to explain the condition and answers questions and concerns.
I took my daughter to see Dr. Avery because I knew I could trust his work. He helped my mom through 2 different surgeries as well as many follow ups. The staff at Ortho Virginia and Dr. Avery are courteous, professional, and have you leaving the office with confidence and a sense of well being. He is our family "go to" when it comes to knees, shoulders, and hips.
Another great visit to Dr Avery. He gets me in quickly for knee injections and takes time when I have questions. (And he figured out that my old xrays were mislabeled L and R.)
I am very pleased with staff and Dr A. Avery’s care for me during two knee replacements. I had the second replacement one year after the first. Before the surgeries, all my questions were answered . I felt I received treatment geared towards my unique needs for both knees After the surgeries, I was contacted several times for a check- in to inquire how I was doing. Dr. Avery saw me on short notice for an orthopedic emergency. He provided immediate relief and a care plan that was well-reasoned and well explained. I’m grateful to add him to my health care support network.
Competent, thorough, compassionate care for my mom’s broken arm. Came up with great options for casting when memory issues were of concern.
Very friendly, conversational, knowledgeable. Answered all my questions patiently and completely. Didn’t rush anything. Only negative was having to wait nearly an hour to see the doctor.
