We just picked up our kitty Knox from the Oakdale location after his surgery last night. He ate something that he shouldn't have, and have to have surgery to remove the object. It was and still is a very scary process, however the staff did a wonderful job. They were there to answer all of our questions, and let us visit him as often as we liked. Thank you!!!!

It was a horrible experience! As soon as I walked in they took my kitten and just walked away with her. I'm glad they took her to get treatment right away but no one talked to me or said anything I tried to follow since I had no idea what was going on and was just told I wasn't allowed there. Then they took me to a room to fill out paperwork. A vet tech stuck her head in and asked if I would pay $500 to stabilize her. I had no idea what was going on or anything. My 20lb dog, Melvin, was beat up by a 100lb lab on a Saturday night. I brought Melvin in, a little surgery and a bunch of stitches later, he will be just fine! The staff was incredible, took excellent care of Melvin (and me), kept me informed and called Sunday morning when he was ready to go home. Pets are part of the family and they did a wonderful job taking care of this family! Thanks to all the staff working on 5/21/16, you are amazing!

I brought my French Bulldog, Myles, in to see Dr. Shadwick as the other two clinics I had brought him to were unable to successfully diagnose what was wrong, with the exception of an infection somewhere. The team was very understanding, professional, kind and great to work with. They listened to my concerns, were honest with me about his diagnosis, and as questions arose over the coming months, promptly returned calls and refilled prescriptions. My husband and I are so thankful to Dr Humphrey, Dr Rose & the entire staff at AERC for saving our Johnny's life! Our cat had to have emergency surgery to remove an intestinal blockage, and it was also discovered that he had an enlarged heart which made anesthesia very dangerous. Their urgency,knowledge, compassion and professionalism were beyond compare, and we would refer them to anyone in need of emergency care for their pets!

Brought my very ill hedgehog in. He had pneumonia. They worked hard to help him, and presented my options and the probable outcomes forthrightly and kindly. Their care was obvious and I knew they wanted him to pull through as much as I did. They understood the financial and emotional parts of the equation and were super cool all around. Their care for him and for our family was the best.
