**************** experience was a nightmare. I enjoyed the service for a bit when there were no issues, but as soon as I encountered a problem it was horrible. I was having trouble activating my membership at an anytime fitness with new insurance. I called shortly after encountering the issue and after many minutes on hold I reached a rep who assured me they would figure out the problem. Months went by and there was NO PROGRESS. The sales process with Active & Fit was to offer a flat monthly fee ($28) for access to upwards of 1000 gyms. They just announced that they are cutting that access down to one (1) gym. This is a significant degredation in the program, and their new model is more expensive than going directly to the gym for a membership. I have switched to their competitors at Aaptiv ******************************.

Just a few short days after the memo came out about members only being able to choose ONE gym location, my existing active & fit membership was cancelled due to declined payments. I find this to be very interesting considering for the last 4+ years Amex has never declined an active & fit payment. Upon further investigation the gym I attend is saying this has happened to all active & fit members and now we are struggling to gain access back to the gyms because even after resubscribing the company will let you sit on the phone... read more

Bait and switch like tactic was used to register membership in the program and then a primary and fundamental benefit of the program was removed shortly after advanced payments were received. Very deceptive and fraudulent.

**************** rep extremely rude and sarcastic. Would not help with my issue offering no solution and says Happy to help! (Sarcastically) After I expressed my dissatisfaction. The company has stolen money from me with sneaky fine print and I will report them. DO NOT SIGN UP.

***, doing business as Active & Fit Direct lured thousands of members into their service promising the ability to choose as many standard gyms as they wanted but are now backpedaling and trying to overcharge members for a single gym (at $28 per month) and charge on a per-gym basis at the cost of $23 per month extra, let me reiterate, per gym. I am writing this based on my interaction with Active & Fit Direct. I signed up for a premium membership at a pilates studio. I paid for 2 months upfront as Active & Fit requires. However I am unable to obtain the credits necessary to book a class in the 2nd month until the 1st day of the 2nd month. I've spoken with the location of the fitness studio - they do not receive the funds I paid for the 2nd month until that month. So Active & Fit is holding my money, with no recourse for myself or the fitness studio. I cannot book ... read more
