I have been trying to get visits approved for physical therapy. I had a significant knee surgery which has a long recovery process. My physical therapist tried doing a peer to peer review this last week. *** gave three different windows of time stating they would call during one of them, when they did not call, my therapist called twice after the *** representative I spoke to said to call and a peer to peer could be done immediately. I signed up for active and fit direct, January 2024. I paid an $84 dollar sign up fee and I would be charged $28 monthly . Things were working fine until April when the company claims payment was not received. They The payment was automatic from my credit card. There is no reason why payment should not been processed. I have called the company 3 times to resolve with the last call promising to return the call with a manager. No return call has been received and my membership is canceled. This is about the Active & Fit Program which is a product of American Specialty Health.on 02/28/2024 I paid for a Service which was advertised as Pay for 2 months ($58.52 included taxes) and no commitments afterwards.First Month from 02/28/2024 to 03/28/2024 I did not even get to use the Service.On 03/28/2024 ($29.26) and 04/28/2024 ($29.26) I got charged 3rd and 4th month. This company is a joke. I have never experienced such poor service from a healthcare company in my life. They denied my acupuncture services when the care I am getting works. Apparently, they want me to use drugs instead. Companies like this are the sole reason why there is an opiod epidemic. You want patients to go on meds instead of therapy when therapy is working for them? If your health insurance works with this company, good luck!!

Should be sued for their bait-and-switch tactic: Their promise: ONE membership ($25, later $28) to access ALL gym brands (plus a signup fee). I canceled some old, cheap contracts with gyms to consolidate with A&F. Now, they break that core promise by charging $28 for ONE gym brand and $23 for each additional gym you'd like or need to visit. The whole idea of the program? Gone. This is a rushed, greedy change that many members were not even notified about. And, of course, I can't get the good old membership deals back that I ... read more

Bait and switch like tactic from $28 for unlimited access to gyms within their network to $28 for one primary gym. Defeats the purpose of Active & Fit business model

******* CLEARING OUT GOLD'S GYM MEMBERS Like several people who have already commented, my account was curiously cancelled in April 2024 under the guise of "declined" Amex credit card transactions, for which no email notifications were sent. The customer service rep I spoke with let slip that they have had many calls about the same issue from members with Amex payment and Gold's Gym membership. I highly suggest to stay away. From this company. They are changing. Their Policy starting July 1 2024 and will only allow you to go to 1 gym for $28 and $23 for each additional gym. I was a big advocate for this program until they decide to deceive everybody and change their policy. I highly recommend looking into Tivity health and the fitness your way program as an alternative after July 1 2024. As they are offering the same kind of program as Acrive & fit does beige they changed their policy .

Horrible service and this company does not care about its customers. Now, changing their plan to only allow an individual one gym and charge 23 extra dollars to sign up for another? HELLO only value in your membership was the ability to goto multiple different gyms. There are better subscriptions out there that allow you do do just this and at a more reasonable cost. Stay away from these guys at all costs. These guys got me to sign up under false pretenses; and after 2 weeks into my subscription decided they would change the... read more
