The EMTs were good and did their job - However - I am being charged for two trips to the hospital (and I only went once!) and each trip is $1000. They also do not take my insurance. Had I known this, I probably would have taken an Uber to the hospital. (I personally did not request the transport, but I was in the emergency room of one hospital and had to go to another since the one I was at had no beds)

had amr called for me by someone i dont even know. Kept denying the ride because i dont have any insurance and almost felt forced to go in the ambulance. it was only a 1.5 mile ride to the hospital and they charged me $2500 for that ride. NO services were done to me, maybe take my blood pressure but i dont think that costs $2500. such a scam of service, you are better off just getting an uber or lyft ride to the hospital if needed. and i didnt even need to go to the hospital. instead of making your life better they just make... read more

********, horrendous, awful, corrupt and morally bankrupt company preying on vulnerable people. In March of 2020 my wife had covid symptoms. We went to a local Urgent care who then called A.M.R. to take her to the hospital. I was not notified of this, they just did it. The **** was outrageous, something like 1800 dollars and at first my insurance denied it. After a phone call to my insurance it was was resolved. Keeping in mind this was all well over a year ago, just today (June 2021) I received a letter from AMR asking me t... read more

I was totally fine in an auto accident and didn't need to go to the hospital. The AMR kept telling me that I should go, despite me telling them that I prefer to go home. A 10 mins ride to the hospital cost me more than $3.8k? It's fraudulent to scare someone who just got into an accident. They are not exercising their professional experience as medics when I was clearly fine. I even had my verbal statement taken by the police saying that I was perfectly fine, except that I was in shock. My ambulance + hospital bill is now $1... read more

I had an allergic reaction to the first COVID shot. The on site staff at the vaccination site gave me anti-histamines and hooked me to their machines to monitor my vitals. I was getting ready to leave but some how the EMS people from AMR showed up (I'm not sure who called them). I refused service but they forced it on me and proceeded to hook me of the machines I was hooked onto, attached their own machines and forced treatment on me, and then let me go after taking down my address information. Despite my adamance that I was... read more

My insurance stated that they had paid my Ambulance bill of over $1000. The company however kept sending me an invoice and then threatened to send me to collections. I called my insurance and they verified that they had paid the bill, and proceeded to file a grievance against AMR on my behalf.

I would give zero stars if possible. This company is a scam. They don’t accept insurance but they also don’t tell you. Next time I collapse I’ll just hitchhike to the hospital I guess. $1600 for a 5 minute ride??? I have Aetna and they don’t recognize that?? Told me the wrong amount to pay, I paid in full, then they sent me more bills. Kept asking for my social security number. Nope! Garbage.

Business response:

It has been determined that AMR does not have a contract with your insurance carrier in the area service was rendered. As a result, the claim was paid based on non-contractual benefits and the patient is responsible for any unpaid balance.

If i could give them 0 stars I would. I had an episode march 17 2021. I went to emergency room having the loss of feeling in my arms and Numbness in my face. Felt like i was going to die. The Emergency room did not care and told me to wait. We called 911 and requested an ambulance. The two emt that arrived were so un professional and A**holes. I think they thought i was a drug addict. They said, “ you dont want to wait huh” i kept trying to talk and telling them i cant feel my arms and my face is numb. They took their sweet ... read more
