Get directionsI have been getting phones calls from AMR for me and my daughter for months now. Every time they call I tell them to send me a ****, since I no longer have copies, and I would be happy to pay but they have never sent them to me.

AMR billed me $4000 for a 2 mile ride to the hospital. Pretty sickening. Ive submitted my insurance information 3 times now they continue to say my insurance denied the claim. When I called my insurance they told me they have no record of ANR ever sending a claim. But never mind that $4000 for a 2 mile (6 minutes) ride to the hospital is predatory and unethical when people are in life threatening situations.

Ambulance provider fees typically include a base charge for the transport, a mileage fee and any applicable ancillary charges. A claim was filed with your insurance carrier and we suggest you allow time for claim to be processed.
Awful company to deal with. Was an hour away from hospital we were in. Not sure why they were called but AMR charged more than 3 times as much as local ambulances. Billing was preposterous. They were out of network and refused to negotiate their billing amount. Anytime my insurance company dealt with management, AMR's billing never knew about it and called me weekly for updates. AMR transported my wife to our local hospital 3 miles away 9/14/2021. The total charge was *******, ****** was for milage. We got an invoice dated 9/27/2021, which we received 10/2 with a due date of 10/12 for ******. 10/11 I called and made payment arrangements of 4 x ***** beginning 10/22/2021. I made the first one 10/21 then kept getting text on Saturdays and emails on Sundays. I paid the next ones 11/10 and 11/24. I got a text 12/3 reminding me the payment is due 12/6!! My daughter was transported 13 miles from one hospital to another and the charge to our insurance was $1068.86. Our insurance had them as in network so they paid them $554.89 but they are still balance billing us for $513.97.Outrageous!

Their ambulance service is unreliable, but their billing service is even worse. AMR transported my husband from the facility where he was getting post-surgery rehab to his infectious disease doctor about 3.5 miles away. This was in *******, ********. When I contacted my county rescue during the summer of 2021, I was under the impression that the ambulance was being provided by the county, not a private service. I was never told by the AMR employees that there would be an additional cost associated with the transportation, nor that there would be a difference in price depending on which hospital I was transported to.
