I purchased furniture from American Freight a few years ago. I decided to return to American Freight to purchase a new couch in July. The price on the couch was about $2000. I decided to finance the couch. The store associates were nice. I filled out the paperwork. No issues. A few weeks later I was contacted by the American Freight's financing company (American First Finance) and was told that I had to pay off the couch in 100 days or the price of the couch would jump from $2000 to $6000. American Freight is not part of the financing contract process - it is completed directly with the customer. Prior to completing the purchase, the customer electronically signs their contract with American First Finance. This contract lists all payment information and terms and conditions of the contract. I went to American Freight on 12/13/22 looking for a dinner room table and two bedroom dressers. The sales rep told me that he had the tale in house ,but would have to order the dressers from the Stone Mountain location. I was advised that the day of delivery ( 12/16/22) that everything would e delivered at once. I went in and did a finance. They sent me the wrong color couch . I order a rug as well they never sent it. Then they charged me $110.00 for delivery fee. They said next day delivery but they came days later. When they finally came with the couch it was the wrong color .So I immediately called and the manger at the store told me he apologizes,but the color couch I wanted isn’t available “they had the wrong color tag on the couch”. On July 24 I went into the store and financed a couch and loveseat bed frame and mattress set and a deep freeze they had everything except the bed frame in stock and told me it would be two weeks for it to be in which was acceptable to me so I went ahead with the purchase. The finance was basically a90 days same as cash which I paid off in plenty of time. I just would like to say sales associate ****** in the ****************** ** location is hands down the best.. His customer service exceeded beyond my expectations!! in the matter of 48 hrs he was able to get me my sectional set i had return it back and was able to exchange it out for something else i really wanted.. I came in to the store and was greated and helped my Ifinity who was so polite and helpful how ever the livingroom set we wanted was not in stock. She gave us her number and told us we could look online and if we see anything that we like to contact her and let her know we came home. My experience with American freight was horrible. I purchased an extended warranty for my sofa set and filed my claim online and was told my case was closed because the item was still under manufacture warranty to take my claim info to the store. I went to the store and was told I would have to go through store manager ******** but he wasnt in today. What a joke, every time I called he was either off or he had just left.
