I will never again do business with this company. I was told I had six months to pay for the washer and dryer I financed from them, but once the contract was signed they told me it was three months. Now a year later I'm still paying at $250.00 monthly and my balance has yet to move. I'm going to file a complaint with consumer rights and find out what can be done about this. I feel your taking advantage of hard working people!!!!

Financing is handled through American First Finance. All information on the contract is submitted directly to the customer for review and signature before the contract is approved. I purchased a stackable washer/dryer from JT at the South Blvd location in December and paid for the installation, upon bringing the unit upstairs, there was a great deal of damage done to my home including scrapes, dings, holes and completely ripped off floor molding from the corner and also ripped my carpet. When I reported the damage to the delivery people, I was advised that mngmnt would file a claim to cover the damages and that I would be contacted near the end of the week. I will never buy from this company again! I purchased two bedroom sets and a sofa. When the furniture company came not only did the driver run my mailbox over, he didn’t have my bed set, or the rest of the pieces for my daughters bedroom! I was assured they would be coming right back with it. I got a call 6 hours later that they would not be able to come back because they got a flat. Next day I got a call that they accidentally sold the bed set I brought but someone would be back with the rest of the pieces for the set I did... read more

American Freight has now cancelled two orders. Torrence location said the washer/dryer set is no longer available and then said they can't deliver over 50 miles. Online it allows delivery for $170 which I was going to pay. If there is a 50 mile rule, they should make it clear. I think they just don't want to drive to deliver and when they saw it was 55 miles, suddenly both items become "unavailable". I now have thousands of pending charges on my card that could take weeks to process.

The absolute fraud of their advertising is amazing. Their pictures posted online show what they describe as a “like new” stove with no damage. The actual stove that is on the Naperville IL *** ** showroom floor looks like it was thrown down a flight of stairs. Dents and even rust! The salesperson said they have “no control” over the online ad? This is 100% fraudulent advertising.

Horrible customer service. Tried calling the store 3 times before we made the drive to purchase a refrigerator. We arrive to find that it shows available online but already sold in store days before.

Shopped online with American Freight in Portage.The photos posted did not show the extensive damage, and they made sure to not include any photos in the confirmation email. The only thing listed was a scratch on the top. The photos have been taken down from the website, since the item is no longer available. They had it all wrapped and impossible to inspect, and pushed the clipboard in my boyfriend's face before he could even look at the product. Horrible experience. Should've known to expect that.

I visited the University Plaza store in Newark, Delaware today in search of a loveseat or couch and selected one with a bold flier on it claiming "We have these in stock", however the saleslady simply laughed in our faces with an "Oh no no but we can get you one in a few weeks although without any certainty it will be of this color". She also could not sell the one on display. Clearly this company is not interested in selling product or moving inventory although its advertising scheme is to bait customers in through the door... read more

I wish I could give 0 stars because this company was the worst company I have ever used. I would rather sit on a cardboard box on the streets of Southside Chicago, then ever buy any furniture from them ever again. Now, the sales Rep. at the Fort Wayne, IN. locations (Lloyd), great guy. 100% helpful. He deserves a better job then this place. Now, John, the manager at that location, is the rudest, most unreliable, lying, sad excuse for a man that I have ever met.
