These guys are absolutely horrible for businesses. I have fought tooth and nail for years for any sort of reasonable credit for my company and it has been absolutely ridiculous. It took years to get the original credit card, then they gave me a limit that is so low that I have to pay it off several times a month (sometimes ten times or more) in order to continue using it. This bank helped ** qualify for a ******* *****. We had time constraints with some contractors, and while we were wating for them to finish the approved loan, they talked ** into an ****** personal loan for quick starting. Assuring us we could repay in a few days when the ***** pulled through. Kept making excuse after excuse as to what was holding things up. Auto lending department gave me a quote, but then after i was ready to sign up for the loan they said they are not able to do it. They stated the price I paid for the vehicle i purchased was more than 125% that of the actual value they see. I searched and the value they stated the vehicle was worth was 11K, but there was not a single on in the state that was under 15K... so they denied the loan. Understand that's their right, but pretty shady lending practice. So they lost a customer that have never had a late payment... oh ... read more

If you want problems at every single step of the way, then these guys are for you. They provide terrible instructions for how to do things, put holds on your account (that no one can figure out why they did) that it takes them hours to figure out how to remove, make it impossible to prove your insurance, etc. The only good thing from them is that the reps I have talked to have been nice. I have very much liked banking at AFCU. However, Im very unhappy with a recent loan I got from them. At closing there was a verbal request from the underwriter that was NOT put in writing or the loan agreement. I am being held to follow the verbal request. The loan agreement states no verbal communication or agreement is binding. Be very careful when signing or getting a loan from AFCU. Your loan agreement that you sign, means nothing.

I went into the *************** Branch branch to purchase a dozen **** Gift Cards to give out through the year. I was not advised about the fees that are applied after 12 months. Found out the hard way that now the last few cards are worthless! I looked up the rules according to Federal Regulation ******* Requirements for financial institutions offering prepaid accounts. I had previously given AFCU a stellar review only to have them revoke a charge dispute they had previously credited me. SO DISAPPOINTING!

Terrible bank, I called in and requested that my payment date be moved back to the latest date possible. That lasted for a month and date reverted back... employees cannot do simple task at america first.

This the worst credit union i had fraud on my checking account nope we cant help its Saturday and were clised they canceled my credit card im like in ****** can you over night me new card Nope you live to far away But ny who is a signer can go to America first credit union and iver night me a catd unbelievable
