Beware getting a vehicle loan with this company. We bought a truck through them in 2021. We paid the truck within a year of purchase and the company refuses to send us the Vehicle Title. We have since moved out of state and we need to register our vehicle with the new state and they won't because AFCU won't give us our Vehicle Title. We have been fighting with them for years. America First Credit Union keep charging me a overdraft fee and not letting get a chance to transfer money from savings to my checking to clear the overdraft. They're getting outrageous with the same day overdraft fee. I'm about to leave all banks, they care about you all they want is your money.

I paid my car loan off 5/9/2024 and I went into a branch in *********. I was told at this time is would take 4 to 6 weeks and I would have the title. I recvd a paid in full letter from AFCU on 5/29/2024. I called AFCU and was told the lein was electronic send to DMV on 5/24/2024. Give it 4 to 6 weeks to get title in mail. It is 7 weeks tomorrow and no title. I went to ******** branch on 7/11/ 2024 and spoke with ****** and was told it was never sent to DMV due to a computer glitch that occured. I have been an AFCU member for over 30 years, but recent developments really have me questioning my future with them. I had a car loan financed through them that was paid off within 5 months of its inception. When I called the gap insurance to cancel and get a refund they informed me the dealership had already canceled the gap insurance. After spending hours on the phone trying to get a hold of the dealership they informed me that AFCU had sent them a request for the gap insurance to be canceled. Applied for a CD with America First, and they ran a credit check without making it clear there would be one. With a CD, you're providing them the privilege of using your money, not the other way around; there should be no credit check. Most places don't require credit checks for CDsthey hide credit checks intentionally. When I called to tell them I was upset over the credit check and wanted to cancel my application, they said they would suppress the credit check, but they never did. I have an auto loan with this credit union. I decided to payoff the loan. I scheduled 3 large payments from my bank over a 3 day period. For no reason they cancelled 2 of them without notifying me. When I contacted them they denied cancelling them despite my looking right at the cancellation listed on my account summary. I asked for my payoff amount if electronically funds sent today and was told they could not give it to me because it accrued daily interest and they didnt know when it would clear. I had been a customer for ever 10 years with *****************************************. I got scammed out of thousands of dollars in a week I noticed in my online banking. I called in complained they were gonna put a stop on the card to stop it. When there was still money there they continued to let them take my money for days. It took so long to get my login that I was not able to make my first payment on time. The website is horrible and external bank transfers are very difficult. I paid the loan off and 12 months later it started withdrawing from my account into a loan that had been closed due to being paid off for a year. This bank is a scam.
