I don't think I've ever had such a terrible experience with a small credit union before. And I cannot recommend, under any circumstance that anyone ever take out an Auto loan. They simply refuse to give you the title to the vehicle after it's paid off and sold. It has been four months since I sold a vehicle, and had it paid off, and they still have not turned over the title. I'm someone who never leaves negative reviews, just not leave any, but these folks are morons. And no one should do business with them.

I cannot believe the level of difficulty everything has been since my auto loan was sent here. 1. It took over a month to get my required PIN to login to OLB and set up a payment. My loan was due within a few days of finally getting in. The information I received over the phone about easily connecting my FI for payment was false and it took another week to make a payment. 2. Theres a reason why this institution is ranked so low. RUN! Run far and fast away and use literally any other institution. Not only do they hold your $ hostage with the only option to access it to pay them money to wire it but their reps and supervisors are rude, disrespectful and entirely useless.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Definitely not a safe or secure place to have a credit card. I was notified by the **************** of a charge I did not make. I texted (NO) and called them as well to tell them I did not make it, and I was told it would not post; but it posted, and now I'm being told that if it isn't removed before my credit card due date, I will be charged interest on it if not paid in full. I bought my toy hauler and got a loan thru America credit union. Did all the paperwork required and got my trailer registered. Made all the payments early and over paid by $270 per month to get it paid off quicker.Sold the trailer and to my surprise American made me jump thru hoops to get my trailer tile in my name, which I did 1st time. Someone in there office never filed , but somehow I was getting my tags in my name? When I asked for help the staff blamed me and required the paperwork to be done again. Their website will not let you cancel reoccurring external transfers with filtering them. I was charged 1500$ in 2 weeks because they would not cancel my external transfers

All the reviews here are correct. I am another statistic of their poor and mediocre customer service, I am thinking about contacting a lawyer to see what my legal recourse is in them not accepting a $22K+ payment so I can pay off my vehicle and get the title. I will never again do business with them. After reading all the reviews here I am not sure how they stay in business...??!!

I have an auto loan with America First Credit Union & was several months ahead of my current payment due date. I confirmed the payoff amount, gave it to the dealership. The dealership sent the payoff check to AFCU. I received a letter from AFCU that my payoff check was returned to the dealership because it wasn't enough to cover what they think is now the new balance due to added interest..etc. The negative payoff difference was very small under 100. so I can't figure out why AFCU didn't try to contact me to give me the oppo... read more

**************** across the board is inconsistent. 99% of the time customer service rep has a bad attitude, and worst of all, doesn't have a clue how to perform banking requests/tasks. I have used the bank account at AFCU for balance transfers multiple times without issues. In recent years, their customer service quality declined so much, that after talking 4 phone agents and a manager, the bank still wasn't able to complete the task I needed done.
