Do not get this stupid pet insurance. It doesnt cover ANYTHING! They also dont have specialist so god forbid your animal needs surgery or something more specialized than just a normal vet, but even with a normal vet you save close to nothing having this I insurance. To top it all off they will charge you a $150 cancellation fee because at the end of the day all they want is your money.Worse decision Ive ever made was going to this place and using this insurance. Save yourself money get better pet insurance
I've never had a worse experience in my life. I was going to wait until my pet passed away before writing this, but they just decided to drop me as a client, so I've got nothing to lose at this point. I made a list of issues because it's simply too much to keep track of.- The incident that triggered Capital from dropping me as a client was that they refused to analyze blood results that my primary vet sent to them. My primary vet mentioned that it was very "strange" and normally vet specialists are happy to give their opinio... read more
Business response:
Mr. Guerriero was released as a client as he stated. His pet was under the care of another veterinarian who had performed diagnostic tests to monitor the body's response to therapy. His primary veterinarian was responsible for the management of his pet's condition. Mr. Guerriero became hostile and was verbally aggressive with Dr. Walker and the nurses in the hospital. His behavior in the hospital left many of our clients feeling so intimidated they were scared to leave their consultation rooms at the end of their visit. Mr. ... read more
Wow! I just got off the phone with Thrive on ************ in *******, **. I called to ask how much the cost is for euthanasia. My sweet dog is ready to go to doggie heaven. Hes 13, cant walk barely eats and drinks and sleeps most of the day. The cost is $199. Not bad but first, they want me to have a consult with the vet, a $55 charge to tell me whether or not my dogs qualify of life meets the euthanasia guide. What? Ive had to put down pets before over the course of my 58 years. So, they want me to bring his tired body in f... read more
Stay away from this place. We are stuck with a ****** dollar vet ********** dog still died even after they told us he was in the clear after having galbladder surgery. He came home after 3 days & was dead 12hrs later. We were originally quoted a low of 6 thousand & high of 7 for the surgery with after care. They came back saying it was "slightly higher" than the quotes. It was actually 3 thousand dollars higher but we had to pay it. We tried talking to them to see if they can lower it a bit since we lost our baby but even af... read more
Don't take your pet there. Expensive and not experienced with more complex issues. They are there to make money only...pet CARE is not on the agenda, but they will refer you to more expensive services after over charging you. $400 for annual shots and a nail trim on two small dogs.
My dog received the 3 year rabies, which she was not due for her next vaccine until 2023. Even though she had the vaccine at their office, they proceeded to give her another rabies vaccination this year. No apology, just an extra **** to pay.
I have to say though the staffs here are generally nice, they do not care about your time at all. My appointments have never been on time every single time I come here. Im literally sitting here in the office writing this complaint. She kept on telling me theres this dog really sick and they are short staff. I can see they are full staff and you know what? Ive been waiting in the room which is next to their staff room and they have been laughing out loud the entire time letting all of us just sitting here waiting n waiting. ... read more
I switched to THRIVE Vet from Banfield, mostly due to the high costs. After about 10 visits over the course of 2+ years, I concluded that Thrive is NOT equipped to provide adequate veterinary care. Overall, the staff is rather pleasant, but the way they provide veterinary care makes me feel very concerned about the wellbeing of my dog. Here are few examples/takeaways I have for THRIVE ********** Care:1. I am no longer able to take my dog to the closest Thrive location, as they do not have a staff veterinarian and I now have to... read more
They are the worst Vet Clinics. They are a corporation. Do not take your loving pet to any of the Thrive locations. Take your pet to a local ***************** caused the death of my beloved pet cat. No concern or care for her well being. I am devastated that I entrusted them with her health. They did not consult with me on the dangers of the procedure they were about to perform. When I took her to the emergency vet clinic, the vet stated they should have never given her Anesthesia with her health conditions.
