Absolute horrible company. My vet practice was bought out by these greedy corporate scum bags. If you are a vet office, DO NOT go with them. For the ones that got tricked by this company, I feel really bad for them. Staff is not happy. They still treat us customers with respect but you can tell they are NOT treated with respect from Thrive. Do yourselves a favor and sell off your vet practices to someone who actually cares about them and their work- because it's NOT YOU. HORRBILE company that claims emergency was shut down b... read more

We sympathize with your concern for pets in the Rochester community. We recognize the need for emergency veterinary services in the area but, due to lack of ER doctors, we made a very difficult decision to close VSES no later than Nov. 27.We explored multiple options to remain in service, including recruitment and staffing with a rotation of doctors from other clinics in the area. The pool of full-time or relief candidates with emergency and surgical care experience is very limited. This is a nationwide challenge that our tea... read more

You know it really disappoints me that a place called a hospital for animals can be such a disgrace. My dog didn't deserve to be taken from her family and put with someone she doesn't know and also lie to her family about what happened. You guys circled ur wagons and covered each other so no one would find out what really happened. I know my ********** is still alive and with someone. U faked her death. And for what reason? Greed? U wanted ur fill in vet to be a hero? I just want my dog back. Please she already has a family ... read more

Horrible company that only cares about money. Will leave areas without emergency care for their pets. Gives the same general response for all complaints. Do not support this company in any way. They forgot what their purpose is.

Business response:

Your absolute greed and soulless business practices are breathtaking. A city as large as ********* will no longer have an emergency vet clinic thanks to you. We will have to drive 2+ hours to get our pets care thanks to you.

Have been trying to reach a representative via email for weeks to ask questions about insurance reimbursement for emergency care for our dog. Complete lack of responsiveness and no telephone numbers listed on website. Horrible customer service!!

Business response:

Thank you for contacting us! We checked our Thrive Plus Membership database and do not have record of a membership in this name. We also do not offer "insurance" to our clients. It's possible you meant to reach out to another company.

If you were, in fact, wanting to contact Thrive Pet Healthcare, please fill out this form on our website and your question will be directed to the appropriate department:********************************************************. Thank you.

First I want to assure you these reviews aren't from the same person in *********, **!! We in ********* are mad as h*#$ at what Thrive has done in our area. You've come in and over the years purchased and ruined so many of our wonderful vet hospitals and now our only emergency hospital. We're left with what can only be described as a clinic. Closes at 10 and doesn't keep animals over night! Making people with animals in emergency conditions drive hours away to get treatment! All the while their owners are distraught and scar... read more

It is absolutely tragic and disgusting that Thrive ******** is discontinuing overnight care in our city. They own at least 16 offices in the *********, ** area. For all of these businesses, it would stand to reason that at least ONE would be open for emergencies. None of these businesses should even be called HOSPITALS, because they are clearly not anymore, they are clinics. They clearly do not care about their employees, the communities they serve or the animals that live there. The name is a JOKE.

Business response:

Limiting the hospital's hours was a difficult decision for us to make.We recognize the need for emergency veterinary services in the area but, due to staffing shortages, we can no longer hospitalize pets overnight. Backfilling those positions will take time due to the nationwide shortage of veterinary staff, which we are also experiencing in the ********* area. Our new hours are based on the doctors' availability on site.

This review is in regard to Thrive's purchase of multiple veterinary locations in *********, **. The *********, ** community has depended on **** as an emergency care provider for many years. Our pets deserve the best we can give them and the Thrive corporate decision to no longer provide overnight care is certainly a long way from the community's best. If you are as you say in your marketing, concerned about the care and services being provided, you will reconsider your decisions. Having one facility in our area that is ope... read more

After sending several emails and attempting to contact Thrive Pet directly with not one response. I am bringing my concern to the BBB. I also see that they are not responding to concerns posted here so we will see where their concerns really are. We have an animal emergency clinic located in *********, ** that has been operational 24/7 for several years. As soon as Thrive Pet came into ********* the hours of the clinic were cut and now they close at 10 pm. This puts the pet owners in a serious crisis if they have a true emer... read more
