Dec 22, I became a 1st time home buyer. I wanted a security sys w/ cameras outside & a keyless door keypad. I called & spoke w/ a rep whom I thought I was giving my order for the items I needed. I asked @ *************** He told me whats included like warranty, discounts, etc. I THOUGHT I WAS PLACING MY ORDER! The rep adv me that the tech would give me the final cost for the extra upfront cost for the **************** after he sees my home. STAY AWAY FROM ADT!! They are rude they dont help and refuse to produce any solution. Ill share about this on *************** and ******. This is the worst company you can get. Again DONT DO IT.

I called customer service to troubleshoot the battery problems. They sent the technician, but he said it did not belong to the ADT, so he could not change the batteries. He told me there would be no charge for this. But when I checked my account, there was a charge for that trip, so I tried contacting ADT for few times. Waiting for time to speak to support is ridiculous. It was always over 1 hour of waiting. Finally, I could talk with somebody, and she said she had to send me to a technical support department. I was automatically enrolled in ADT when they purchased ******** and I was not notified. I have been trying to disenroll without success. Sent to multiple Depts and asked to hold 90 minutes after being on hold on various other debts. I have charges pending for services I never received. Unable to speak to anyone to stop the cycle. They hold customers captive by not allowing access to disenroll.

I had ADT Security Services in my previous home, sold that home, and moved into a new senior-friendly home in 2016. Again, I had ADT security system installed. When the contract expired, service price continued to rise. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income,I called to cancel the service when the cost rose beyond my capability. The man I talked with exerted pressure stating how much my home insurance would raise if I discontinued service and I should at least continue the fire coverage. I am attempting to cancel my ADT service that is much too expensive. I've currently been on hold for an hour and a half. I've told two individuals three different times that I want to cancel and I have already started another service that is cheaper than even the "please stay" discounts ADT has tried to offer. I believe they are trying to force me to hang up and start the process over so they don't lose a customer. I went from considering this an amicable split to a very adversarial process. The worst service ever. District *************************** or **** , talks to customers like they are ******. Signed contract for smart thermostat install and after 2 attempts and weeks of waiting I still have no thermostat. Was told ADT smart thermostat does not handle dehumidifier lol but it is on the their website . Image being lied to by someone not very knowledsgble in the business . In order to cancel my subscription with ADT I have spent well over 2 hours on the phone and another hour on chat. I still have no confirmation that the account is closed. They have billed for a full 30 days for next month even though I cancelled a couple weeks prior. That extends the contracted 30 days notice to around 45 days which isn't a huge deal, but it is irritating considering there is no confirmation the account is closed. ADT has terrible customer service; they do not listen. Ive had their system less than a month. One of my cameras work sporadically; so I bought a Wi-Fi extender, no change. The battery in the Nest doorbell has to be charged a lot and was not installed properly; it can easily be removed. The key is not needed. Now I have to wait another week for a tech to come out. I am 68 1/2 and should not have to get on a ladder to fix camera myself; if I had known I would have gone with another company. After holding a long time on phone ... read more
