Bought my first house. 32, but it's nice and I was very happy. First week goes by, ADT man shows up, does a great little presentation, says you pay nothing, here's the "lowest in the industry" monthly you'll pay and that's it! Sounded great. Come to find out your locked in for 3 years and have to pay a lot of money for cheap equipment if you decide to leave beforehand. Been trying to cancel service for nearly a year now. Multiple departments, different directions. Last person I spoke with about 2 months ago said all was resolved. Now I get collection calls. Ridiculous. I wish I had read these BBB reviews before contracting with them.

I have tried time and time to get help with my faulty alarm that was going off and on througout several nignts. They were not able to fix the problem and recommended that I disconnect the main portal to get the beeping to stop. I then was place on hold for an hour and a half. Finally decided I had had enough with this faulty system, I called to cancel. The man I spoke to was nice but then he said his department does not handle cancellations. ADT CUSTOMER FOR OVER 10 YRS SIGNED A 5YR CONTRACT SPRING 2020 CONTRACT EXPIRES SPRING 2025.CURRENTLY..A MOTION DETECTOR AND KEYPAD IN MY HOME HAVE FAILED.YEARS PAST..ADT WOULD QUICKLY SEND A TECH OUT TO MY HOME..FIX THE PROBLEM.THESE TWO COMPONENTS HAVE FAILED FOR MONTHS.I HAVE PERSONALLY CALLED ADT SEVERAL TIMES..WAITING LONG HOLD TIMES.IN MY OPINION..LONG HOLD TIMES ARE PRIMARILY TO PREVENT CUSTOMERS CALLING.WHEN I DO GET THROUGH..ADT TRANSFERS ME TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE..OFTEN 3-4 THEIR ANSWER IS ALWAYS THE SAME.MAKE A NEW 5 ... read more

This company is awful. Just read the reviews. They installed a system for $2,000 in my home 6 months ago that doesn't work. It can't be armed. Alarms go off day and night. Literally! After hours on the phone I finally got a tech from the company to come out. ***** told me that what they installed would never work in my home and that he would try to get the company to put a system in that would work for me. I’m a costumer with Safe Home Security. Two young men came to our home stating they were here to change out our security panel and sensors because SHS was switching over to ADT and the equipment was outdated. They put in a new ADT panel and front and back door sensors. They took the SHS panel and sensors with them. I decided to call SHS to verify the switch over. I was with NorthStar home security. they merged with ADT back in Oct. 2022 my account. was transferred to ADT and I received instructions to register. my account on the ADT website I did so as instructed. I even set up autopay since then ADT kept reversing my auto payments over the past 3 months, I called ADT repeatedly. over the past 3 months and the same thing happened over and over again. ADT Threats After a 20 plus year relationship, in mid November of 2022, our main pad became frozen with an error code. I called ADT customer service and was transferred to technical support. I spent over two hours attempting to troubleshoot the issue to no avail. The worst security company ever. I do not recommend anyone to do business with this company. The security system is trash. The customer service is the worst. My ********************** system has not been working properly in 3 weeks. I left home thinking my home was secured when I returned I walked through my whole house and opened up my front door and the alarm did not go off.
