The customer experience could not be worse at ********************** alarms. If it was one negative exchange you would not be seeing this review. This has been going on for over 3 months. I have been on the phone with them 7 times now for close to an hour each time and tried communicating through their website chat. Exceedingly long wait times on the phone. If you are able to make an appointment - as I did for a video tech one - no one calls. Calling ADT back only gives you long wait times again and NO results. On a video chat with ADT they gave me the assigned technicians phone number at least - I thought - but it was my OWN number they gave me. Total incompetence..
We have an ADT doorbell camera that is a replacement model for the original that wouldn't connect to the ADT app. This one, after just 7 months, died... no lights or functionality. ADT wants me to check the voltage to the device before they send a technician, which will result in a $59 charge at minimum. On top of that, we are selling this home and if the new owners don't want ADT, we have to buy out the contract. We will NOT be using ADT at our new home! I had ADT for several years and was happy with their service and the technicians were very knowledgeable, however, I moved and canceled my service with them three times over a 6 month period and they continue to bill me every month. They owe me approximately $400 and still have not successfully canceled my service, nor have they credited my credit card. I finally had to cancel my credit card so theyd stop billing me. Very unprofessional.
My ADT equipment was installed on Dec 30, 2022. After New Year's my flat screen panel stopped working. I reviewed the manual and it was no help, so I called the customer service number and that's when my problems began. I started with one person and they placed me on hold for an hour before transferring me to another person who put me on hold for another hour. I have had ADT over 5 years now. I didnt have too many issues in the first 5 years besides their site that doesnt seem to be up to date like most professional and larger company websites. They have far too many issues when it comes to ease of payment and payments being taken out without authorization. My issues today is in regards to the last 6 months though. I was an ******** customer, paid my bill to them to find out that ADT had taken over ********. ADT keeps billing me for the month that I paid ********. I have sent letters and tried to talk to customer service to no avail.Now I get notice of a price increase and call to cancel my service and the recording says that the wait time could be over 102 minutes. That is insane!!!Mailing in a cancelation. We will see how that goes.
ADT has terrible insufficient unprofessional customer service. They are thieves who want your money and do nothing for it. Techs even come to put the soddy system that does not work and run away and not even show you how to use your system. i call to tell ADT take out your system and as soon as they hear cancel they hang up. i am persistent and want the system out and called 6 times and got hung up on. now i am calling the 7th time and they have me referred to the management and i am on hold for 30 minutes. service was poor throughout the contract, very hard to get them to cancel, been on hold for over a hour to get to a person to cancel as you cant login and cancel, you must speak to someone ! still on hold ! very poor
