I was misled by the salesman and when I tried to cancel the service, they charged me for a five year contract. I was canceling my service because they were not providing the service they promised, and they overcharged me for six months last year as well. It's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone to discuss issues, and I wrote them that I was willing to negotiate a settlement of the charges that that now are billing me for. Buyer beware. They will go into your account to shut off recordings without your knowledge. They won't ever fix an issue without charging for thier faulty equipment. Poor quality and impossible to get out of contract even with multiple complaints about faulty equipment. They do not make anything right. Theifts at thier finest.
I called ADT on 1/10/23 to cancel my service and told the woman I spoke wth that I had switched to a competitor because their rates were lower and that the new company had already installed their own equipment. I have been an ADT cvutomer. When I had some work done on an exterior door, the alarm sounded. I waited for a call from ADT, expecting to explain what happened. No call was ever made. Eventually, after about five minutes, I figured out how to stop the alarm from sounding. Two days later I tried to set the alarm to drive elsewhere, but it would not set, and it instructed me to check the door. Really wish I could give them 0 stars! Horrible, horrible company to work with. We upgraded our system because they made all these promises and it wasn't at all how they promised. We ended up moving and then were completely stalked by many people (and said, don't talk to that team, just work with me).. I will NEVER use ADT again for anything.. When trying to get a quote for our new home, it was going to be double what we were paying before.
I am a ADT customer for the first time and grossly disappointed. The installation was poorly done and wires noticeably exposed in the front of my house as well as leading to my porch. I tried so hard to overlook this error, but I just could not anymore. Two techs came out and confirmed installation was not at ADT's standard and was done poorly. They have the worst company drivers. I had this guy who was working on 2/1/23 and proceeded to cut everyone off by driving in the bike lane. He has a large ***** and was done with a service on ***************** about 9am and proceeded to drive down ****** southbound in a very erratic way causing everyone to slamm on their breaks.
I would not recommend ADT to anyone. They have no customer service, and the billing department can't post payments properly. I have a credit due and they claim I'm in arrears. I sent a letter with payment dates and amounts, and did not ever receive a reply. Now, they have cut off my service. Fine. I don't need them, anyway. I spoke to a lady on the phone who is dumber than a rock.
I've been with ********************** Alarm SEcurity over 20 years. I've been paying $5.00 a month that I was originally told was for maintenane calls. A week or two ago my alarm was beeping at various **** and red light on 7 problem. I all for matinenance since I've paid over 1,00 in ****** 5 dollar charge and now they was to charge me a service fee of *****. I called and tried to cancel subscription and have been pasted to various agents and then hold times at two dirrernct time over 40 mins one time and then over 70 mins.... read more
