I've had ADT service for 9 years: tech service is nonexistent, customer service (after the obligatory 20+ minute wait to speak to someone) has never been helpful and monitoring reaction time is sub-par. But the proverbial straw was when I received a call from an ADT rep informing me that my control board was obsolete and that ADT was offering to send someone to change my control board at no charge. I been getting service from ADT about four years. My equipment only cost $800. The guy that came to installed the equipment and tells me that the equipment is free. My monthly charge is $52.99. He say since I dont have landline I have to pay $52.99 , but I later I have landline I could call back and the bill will be less then $30. He tell me to call the ADT customer service after two years and ask them to lower the bill. I'm asking please the BBB to do something about this company along with Google ring partnership . Since I purchased the security system in November 2022, nothing has been working. The google camara stop working first ,then the security system. They offered $100 gift card that I never received, neither by mail or email. Now, when I call they are refusing to give me assistance because I don't know my access code ( ADT never give me an access code) . ADT contract has a lot of hidden pitfalls and falsely advertises that you can move with the system. Onve you move, they terminate your contract and charge you the remainder, which could be in the thousands of dollars. **************** also lies, or representatives don't fully understand their own company's rules and regulations, convincing you to buy more services and products with the false claim that it will prevent termination fees.

Zero, if I could. Bought a life alert system for my parents. Paid in full. Then I got another bill -- which was a mistake. This should have been a quick and easy call. But the customer service reps came up with different charges and dates, none of which corresponded with my detailed notes or the advertisement on website. They said the charges were for services for which I had already paid, activations fee (the website claims there are none), lockbox (that came with a pay in full). I would rate below a one star if it were an option. Paid over $1000 for installation at a commercial property and the system never functioned correctly. We received a late night call saying there was an alarm but then was told, in the same dispatch call, that there was no break-in happening, just a radio malfunction. The next day we saw that the property actually had been broken into and costly damage was done. This company is horrible they dont respond. They schedule appointments that do not show up or are virtual without telling you. you cant get out of the contract. They are absolutely horrible. Avoid at all costs!

I was sold an ADT system. I called the next day to cancel because its less than 100 feet from my front door to my back door. The Ring was sold with it. I was told the whole system was on a monthly basis, and if I couldnt use/afford, I could pause the service, or just send back the equipment at my expense. ***************** They have no idea what that is. I have been so frustrated with them and then I check and they have a 1 star rating, no wonder!!! I ordered $800 worth of key cards for the business I work at and they need to be programmed into our system. The rep said he would schedule a tech.
