************** was an ADT customer for 18 years. Never missed a payment. In December, 2022 my equipment quit working. Contacted ADT, scheduled a technician who could not get the equipment to work. Scheduled a second technician, and a ADT representative informed me that I would receive credit for system not working and only charged prior to December 10 when system quit working. For being a highly known brand the absolute worst customer service you could ever imagine. Simply wanting to cancel my subscription due to selling our home. Following the initial phone call I then spent over 3 hours and a disconnect between the billing department, cancellation department, moving, and then again back to billing I was backed into a corner and essentially told that my 300 dollars I paid to cancel wasnt enough and I either had to pay an additional 450 or renew my subscription due to some contract fine print. It took 3 months to get a customer service representative on the phone to cancel services. We would be on hold an hour to 2 hours without an answer. All the other departments such as billing would answer right away, but they could not do anything to help cancel our service. Then once I did cancel service I have to pay another 30 days out because there is a 30 day cancellation notice.

I called to cancel my ADT security service on December 27, 2022. I'm still being charged as of February 17, 2023. The agent I spoke with today has no record that I called in December to cancel service. When you press the number for the cancelation option, it takes you to a regular agent. After 18 minutes, they explain they need to send you to the cancelation team. I thought I was talking to the cancelation team. I selected the call-back option. I had ADT Tech come out to replace smoke detector. The tech did that just fine. Somehow he inadvertently turned off my heat! We did not notice until an hour later when it started getting cold in our house! Called the tech back and texted 25 times, refused to answer. Called customer service and got a person who I could not understand and after an hour told me they could have a tech out in a week! I said it gets in the twenties at night and she didn't care. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS, I WOULD. I ORDERED THE SERVUCE THROUGH MY MORTGAGE COMPANY WHICH ALLOWED ME TO GET THE EQUIPMENT PAID IN FULL, SO I'M ONLY PAYING FOR THE MONITORING SERVICE DURING A 3 MONTH TRIAL PERIOD. I'M STILL UNDER THE TRIAL PERIOD AND THE SERVICE SUCKS BECAUSE EVERY WEEK THE CAMERAS STOP RECORDING FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND EACH TIME YOU CALL THEY HAVE TO SEND A TECH OUT WHICH COST $85 (MIND YOU WE ARE UNDER TRIAL PERIOD AND A 1 YEAR WARRANTY WHICH I REFUSE TO PAY) I'M SICK AND TIRED OF CALLING THIS PLACE TO ... read more

They fill my mailbox with unsolicited advertising and there is no one to contact on their website to end it; only sales call numbers. I wouldnt put an ADT alarm on a shoebox.

I was receiving daily notifications regarding a malfunctions of my doorbell camera over about a month time period. I called and spoke to a Rep after waiting on hold for about an hour. They told me to try charging and going through the troubleshooting methods. I charged it over night. The doorbell camera would not work after multiple trouble shooting and 6-8 hour recharging attempts. I WAS GIVEN ONE ***** OVER THE ***** ****** AND AFTER INSTALL ***** WENT UP TO ******* I WAS TOLD NOT TO LISTEN TO THAT THE **** MIGHT GIVE ME A DIFFENT ***** BUT IT WOULD BE THE ***** WE HAD TALK ABOUT ON THE ***** IT WAS THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH I WOULD LIKE FOR THE CALL TO BE PULLED AND LISTEN TO ALL SO I HAD 30 DAYS TO CANCEL BUT WHEN CALL TO CANCEL 7 DAYS I WAS TOLD ONLY HAD THREE DAY TO CANCEL
