I have to admit during the course of my service with ADT cameras go offline quite a bit and I have had one occasion where the alarm went off for over one hour with no police called by adt. Luckily, it was a repair person inside my home, who reached me at work. I turned off. Yesterday and today, I called to get a contact issue with cost resolved. If I could give a minus star, I would. I'm a partially blind senior. My husband passed away suddenly 7 months ago. Right away, I was burglarized. I'm a new ADT customer already getting late notices for a monitoring fee that was pre-paid via credit card. I've been trying every ADT service portal for hours, and there's NO way to access any form of customer service or support to resolve this issue.
One star is way too much for this scab company. Our card on file was compromised so we called all of our bills to change to new payment card. Our service charge was uninterrupted and when speaking to agent on phone eve to bring was good to go. Months later we received a bill for $500 saying we hadnt paid our equipment rental bill. Called again agent said we have a card on file everything will even out good to go. Next month with out approval the $500 was auto drafted out of our account. ADT purchased our previous Security Company, NorthStar. They took over monitoring the equipment that NorthStar had installed in our home. Our equipment had a problem with the battery. It needed to be replaced. A new battery was sent to our home for us to install. In the process, it failed to work.We contacted ADT for service. Multiple attempts for service were met with phone conversations only. They wanted to "walk us through the repair" over the phone. As there is no lower than one star, I will have to settle for that. ADT updated their system four years ago and I had nothing but issues with it. They would not fix the issues yet kept charging me &70/month for a system that was unusable. They would send new sensors, but they would stop working as well. When I tried to get out of the contract, they wanted to charge me $2500. I finally had to pay out the remainder of the contract just to get them to stop charging **** would strongly recommend not using this company!
I am a new Adt customer they installed a unit has never worked since he installed it. I called him to come and pick it up. They told me I had to pay them $3000. ADT is a Fraud in making money. I had a smoke alarm that was beeping due to low battery. I changed the battery and it did not work. Call ADT support and they connected to the second lever of technical support. It did not work... A virtual call was arranged on October 28th, this was a video call and all the steps suggested was carried out and they diagnosed that it was determined that the smoke alarm needs to be changed and there will be a charge of $59+Taxes. I have been ADT customer for a couple of years. When we moved, I asked to transfer service after I was told about a fee I would be charged if I didnt. I received the equipment but did not immediately set it up. I was charged ******* because I didnt go online to put in an activation code within the last 30 days. The fact is they do not transfer service they cancel your previous service, so they can charge you ******* if you dont activate service at your new address. This should be illegal.
