October 20, 2023 New equipment from ADT was installed on Sept 21, 2023. On September 25, 2023 I sent a text telling them problems connecting with the WiFi to the cameras. ADT said I needed to contact tech support. They were doing trouble shooting with me and they asked me about my router WiFi. I was asked how old it was and told them around 6 years old. I was told by a friend of mine that I would be able to get a $200 giftcard for a referral. This friend that works for ADT was told by his manager that I specifically didn't have to be an ADT member to receive the giftcard. I referred a friend. He called and had a system worth over 7k installed with a monthly bill of over $100 per month. They say that it takes 3-5 business days to receive. It's been over a month and a half!!! WHERE'S MY $200 GIFTCARD!
Wasted Money, the installer doesn't explain nothing , two years forced to pay.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Terrible attitudes all around. Not helpful when things throw errors. DO NOT GET SUCKERED INTO A CONTRACT. RUN AWAY!
I made the mistake of calling ADT five or six months ago. I am not very tech savvy so I had my son try to install the equipment, but he could not get it put together, and the monitor thing would not locate my wi-fi. I called them two or three times asking to have a technician come and install it, and was not helped at all. They tried to FORCE me to install it myself when I can't, and when my son can't. New customer of *********************************************. I have been having problems with my adt security service ever since it has been installed. Monitor will not display cameras intermittently sometimes for a whole day. Problems every day.I have spent more than 8 hours on the phone discussing my problem. They cannot solve the problem will not send out a technician. They say its an internet problem, I have had a xfinity tech out to check the internet strength, they say all is perfect on their system.
ADT has gome down. I had them for 5 years. I grew up having ADT.However, what I have notived, is they are great, UNTIL you have an issue.My box was struck by lighning, it was a ****** to get anyone on the line to get tech support.Tech support couldn't fix, so they wanted to send a customer service rep. **** charge for this.Long story short, it was never fixed. Like many other complaints, just tried to make an appointment for service and spent an hour being transferred multiple times. After no relief, decided to cancel and got transferred multiple times and waited for call backs multiple times. They give you a number to call for cancellation but it never connects to an account manager. Final solution was to get my credit card company on the phone along with ADT and notify them they were on a recorded phone call. ADT has the worst customer service when calling them. I was hung up on twice. The second time was due to a bad connection and she said she would call me back and she did not. I had to call back. Overall I spoke to about 6 different people for my issue that was not resolved. Initially called to question the charges I was receiving as I've only had this for a month and received my first bill.
