This is the worst service that I'm paying for it's not even connected I'm being charged every month call and call never get a call back they don't want to come out here and connect the system they just want to take your money I am so tired of their ** and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy I would never do business with them ever again in my whole life poor customer service poor management poor service poor equipment just pour everything I want my service canceled and they won't cancel it<br />
Horrible company I had it for a year the house I bought had equipment in it already, they signed me up for a three year contract, I moved in under two years and wanted to transfer service to My new home, ADT canceled my contract and tried to start a new ******************************* $980 for cancellation of my first contract, when I wanted to transfer service to my new house. I agree with all of the reviews already listed. When Protection One was not a part of ADT, things were different. There's no sense of concern for the customer. I had ********************** service tech here yesterday, replacing 2 batteries. Now, less than 24hours later, receiving same prompt that sensor supervision is lost and I can't set the alarm. We have been with adt for over 7 years,we were contacted by a company that had adt in their paperwork. We signed up with them thinking we were just extending our adt. Well we have to cancel adt as our monitoring company. Now they say we have to pay for 30 days while they no longer monitor my system. When I first contacted adt about this, they said they would waive the fee. Now they say they won't. Make sure you all read the contract either with adt or any company. ADT has mislead and lied to us since the beginning of our dealings with them. First I was told its no issue to move both the alarm and surveillance from one property to another. After singing a contract with them when we had to have all the equipment moved to a different address, it was a battle as they were then saying they dont move equipment for clients. On October 3rd, 2023, I switched from ADT to Brinks, due to the cost. I am a Senior on a fixed income. I was not under a contract with ADT and was a customer for over 6 years. On October 4th, 2023, at 8:64 AM I went online and per ADT instructions, cancelled my service effectively immediately. I have the e-mail receipt. I continued to get notifications regarding a bill, so I called ADT to verify that they received the cancellation. I had a smoke alarm installed 6 yrs ago. Got a 'low battery' notification. Called tech support to have a technician to come and replace the battery; unable to do it myself, as I am a senior w/disabilities. I was told that it would cost $200 to have the battery replaced. I called to cancel my service and was on hold over an hour (and three different people later). I was told they would send a technician out to update my system and install new cameras along with a reduced fee since I havent been able to use the system. When I did not get a confirmation for the appointment I called back to hear that they were going to service the system remotely - I asked about the new cameras and there was nothing in the system about that. The equipment doesn't work when I need it to - like accessing my doorbell camera when someone rings it - and often disconnects from the wifi. Getting help for any issues is pointless because they refer you to their help guides and having a tech come requires a fee. Before you know any of this you're stuck in a two year contract paying more than you would for the same service elsewhere. Would not recommend.
