This is the worst company for customer service. I canceled my service 1/30/2023. They called as my new system was being installed and I told them to discontinue my service. They transferred me and I was on hold for 20 minutes. I tried the ADT WEBSITE chat. I informed them I was no longer a customer and not to contact me anymore. I stopped the automatic draft from my account despite the fact They took a payment in January for February. I trusted this company when they asked me to sign up. I signed up for home security only to learn I was unknowingly placed under a silent 3-year contract. I've told me home. They refuse to cancel the service for 30 days. It makes no sense. In addition, they charged me $655.98 for their unethical business practice. I was a great customer -- always paid on time etc. But when I no longer needed the service, they kept hanging up on me -- placing me on hold -- and then charged me the $655.98!!! I will never trust ADT again.
ADT could care less about its customers. I am an existing customer. I have been since 2019. Somehow, my system was deactivated. I never deactivated the account. One ADT rep apologizes and says I will get you activated. The tech came today he told me my system is outdated. He would have to upgrade to the new ****** cameras. I called to get a quote only. I ended up agreeing to a free in-home consultation (with an option to install on-site) because I thought "what can it hurt?" Now I'm being harassed with phone calls, voicemails, and emails every day, sometimes multiple per day. The "free consultation" turned into an "installation"... clever wording trick there.DO NOT give these people your information. They are like vultures. The worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!! they have been robbing me of money for years and won't take any responsibility for it. I lost my home in 2021, and called to disconnect. It's been disconnected and they've been charging me still for 2 years 3,600$ and won't refund any of my money... they say I never cancelled it even though they see in there system I called to cancel when I said I did. I've tried multiple times to cancel the account that I cannot afford. I cannot get out of it without paying off the remainder of my contract which I have no money for. I should not have to starve myself and sell my belongings for gas money in exchange for a mediocre security system. Please help me.
